I don't think I have.  I saw someone else make a reference to it, and did
get curious, but here you are offering anyway.

Honestly, I wasn't sure if I should or not.  The only people that I've
really known Hinata to converse with much has been Naruto and her
teammates,
all of whom she uses -kun, Kurenai she calls sensei, and Neji she calls
-niisan.  Maybe -san would have been a better choice since he basically
outranks her at this point?

You know, I'd forgotten that she does call him Naruto-kun.  And I was
dithering a little on mentioning that Shikamaru was chuunin for the sake of
others who haven't gotten that far (like ones who are only seeing the dub).
I'm also not sure about -san.  That implies a level of equality between the
two.  -sama goes a little too far in talking about relative rank, but
perhaps -senpai?

Heh, I'm sure Hinata would make a good sexy pouter, I just don't know how
much it would affect someone like Shikamaru.

I suspect that if she pulled it out when he wasn't expecting it (which
would probably be pretty much all the time), she might get one hell of a
reaction.  Hinata's pretty, and when you couple that with knowing how
"nice" she is, there's no way to prepare for it.  Now, whether that
reaction would last very long, that's a different story, neh?

My brother and I play chess all the time.  We were actually playing it
when
he suggested a story like this about some girl and Shikamaru.  But since
I'm
the writer of us two, I went with Hinata and...here we are. ^_^

There are never enough *good* stories about Hinata.  She's one of my
favorites.  Yeah, I know I say that a lot, but I have a lot of favorites
across all of the various anime I watch/manga I read.  Though, over all of
them, Hinata's easily in the top ten.  So are Ayukawa Madoka (KOR), Kuonji
Ukyou (Ranma), Kino Makoto (Sailormoon), Hashiba Miki (Suzuka)... you know,
I'm beginning to see similarities in my favorites here, and Hinata seems to
be the exception that makes the rule.

Huh.  And a majority of them (favorites) are female.  I wonder if that's
because I feel like the female characters get more development or if I just
like females. ;)
