"So where does this Yuki lady come in?" Naruto wondered idly
why everyone seemed to think he needed history lessons.
This from the ninja who'd never even heard of the Chuunin exams until he was
signing up to take them...
True. :)
The mile passed quickly, the river they were following quickly
Missing word after this second 'quickly'...and you really shouldn't use the
word 'quickly' twice in rapid succession like that. Redundancy quickly
becomes redundant quickly.
Argh. Right. Good catch(es).
Before he could get started with that, though, the door to the
cabin flung open and admitted Kitakami Yuki herself. She was still just
as beautiful as she'd been decades ago, though her once-black hair had
turned silver - not from age, for the rest of her showed know sign that
Showed NO sign, maybe?
...double argh. Yeah.
"With a good map, I might be able to keep an ice raft going long enough
if it's close, but I wouldn't be in any position to fight when we

Another good catch, thanks.
Anoooooooo.....you do realise that when he's out on the road with Jiraiya,
Naruto usually sleeps on a futon, right? Most of the inns they encounter are
Japanese-style, which means no beds...
Very true. I'll rework this bit.
The man laughed. "Have you ever heard of the legendary Sannin,
girl? I'm Jiraiya the Toad Hermit, and a couple of young kunoichi like
you don't stand a chance against my power."
Boy did he EVER pick the wrong day to impersonate Erosennin! XD
Indeed. :)
"Haruno Sakura," Tsunade continued, and Sakura stiffened as the
Hokage's eyes fell on her again. "You're off-duty for now, though you
might have another mission before the third exam. I believe Shizune
wanted to see you; you should report to her."
"Shizune-sama?" Sakura asked. While the Hokage's assistant had
been helpful before, she couldn't think of any reason Shizune would want
to meet with her.
She wants to teach you the ways of the kunoichi...*lecherous intent*
Heh.
The snake's tongue emerged once more. "She might do," she
allowed after a moment, "but it's going to take a lot of fast talking to
get Manda-sama to agree." Sakura instantly placed the name of the god
that ruled all snakes. What in the world was going on?
Oh HELL no. o.o;;
Tsunade is probably not going to be terribly thrilled when she finds out
just what Anko decided to teach Sakura. :)
Good grief...it's like every country in the freaking universe has a Leaf
missing nin working for it... x.x;;
Hmm? Unless I'm forgetting something (always possible!) Tsuneo is only
the second Leaf missing nin to show up in this story (well, fourth if
you count Kabuto and Orochimaru, and Sasuke gets to scream off-screen
once if you want to count him too), the first being a nameless random
thug in a Fire Country border village.
In any case, the primary reason for making him a Leaf missing nin is
because I was sitting there with a blank screen in front of me and
realized that I didn't have the slightest idea what sort of techniques
to give him. This provided a way around that.
As always, thanks for commenting (double thanks for catching those
errors), and I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
