But what about... *passes Will save* [Local Sports Team], huh? They
really are a [Sport] team, aren't they?

Yeah, [Area Sports Team] is looking good this year. They may make it
all the way to [Regional Championship].

Experimental disclaimer: This story's a bit ... weird. Even by my standards.

This should be... interesting.

Hopefully, it was. :D

C!

A!

D!

;_;

What'd I do to you?

...wait, this is an outline, not a multiple choice test.

Note to self: Write a Ranma/Sailor Moon crossover in the form of a
multiple choice test.

This should be good.

This is a story, and it's one you've seen before.

Well, seeing it's a Ranma/SM crossover, there's not a lot of virgin
territory left... ;)

Essentially. :p

There's supposedly also a high volume of Ranma/Makoto fics, but I've
yet to find one that's _finished_.

Aside from this, I guess.

"That ain't it!" he protested, shaking his head. "Look, Ucchan,
you're my friend, and one of my better friend's at-" He cut off
suddenly, eyes widening as he gasped, reeling as though physically
struck. "No," he breathed shakily. "Saffron!"

*blink* I always thought it was odd that he didn't show up in more
Ranma/SM stories (except for the 1500 ones where he shows up in the
prologue to kill Akane at Phoenix Mountain, of course).

Most crossovers really seem to just add Ranma (and possibly also
Akane) to the SM cast and do away with the NWC and other Ranma
regulars. :/

Ironic how cliche this is, eh?

And then, deep and furious, filling the ominous clouds with flashes
of red, a voice bellowed in Mandarin Chinese, "Where is Saotome
Ranma?"

Reminds me of... what was it... *checks* Alan Harnum's Dies Irae.

That was the inspiration for that scene. I was almost tempted to name
the segment that, but thought it was a touch too close ... and then
there's the fact that Ranma wins, of course.

Crafting a weapon, Setsuna knew, was a task that required the utmost
attention to detail. And one of the most critical details was to burn
away all of the impurities in your stock before you began.

Ouch.

Wanted to cast Setsuna as terrible, yet with a deep vulnerability that
seldom comes to light.

He coughed once, and then said, "Tha's rich."

"That's rich."

Or is it intentional?

Intentional. Note the missing 'Heh', which became a cough.

The terrible thing that had come from China then pointed at them, and
its voice echoed. "I have found you!" she knew it said, though she
distantly realized that she didn't know Chinese.

Well, that's one way of explaining why all the villains speak Japanese.

Work in one for why all the attack names are in English and you win the
Grand Prize! ;)

The translation field extends to viewers?

"What was once forbidden shall be no more," Setsuna said, smirking.
"You need a magical staff, Ranma? Take one." Setsuna pointed
unerringly at Hotaru.

That sounds... dangerous.

Yeah. By Setsuna making him pick up the glaive, Usagi has to heal
him, or let him die.

When a true masterwork sword is crafted, stock is drawn for two
weapons. One weapon will house all of the positive qualities, and the
other will house all of the negative qualities. The true sword will
remain loyal to its wielder, so long as the anti-sword is safely
sealed away.

Interesting. Was this a real practice?

Supposedly, but it was also (apparently) limited to a few specific
schools of swordcrafting. I don't think that Masamune or his
disciples believed in the principle. Setsuna obviously doesn't. :p

So instead, he worked on deflecting Saffron's fire into the ground,
slowly carving out a great spiral.

Hrm... of course, this didn't work when he used it on Saffron back at
Phoenix Mountain.

Yep. That's why when he's working on it, he goes "until...." Because
he doesn't think he can really win, but he can't stop trying.

"It was. Oh, but it didn't need to be. You must understand this,
Ami-chan. It was Makoto. This time." She smiled then, though her
eyes didn't show it. "It could have been you."

Interesting.

I actually plotted it out. One for Shampoo, too. Decided it
detracted too much from this to warrant inclusion beyond a vague
suggestion. There's a handful of stories that are hinted at but not
spelled out here ... the majority showing up in [ Words: Promises and
Lies ].

      [ A Songfic Cleverly Disguised as a Segment ]

Always a necessity.

I thought so. I'll admit, I've always thought of Ranma and Ukyou when
I've heard that song, but it worked, and I managed to tie it in to the
flashbacks (I doubt that they danced to the Urusei Yatsura sound-track
in the Silver Milennium, but hey. :p)

"Oh, no," she whispered, as she could feel herself falling into that
place where she became Serenity. "Setsuna, what have you done?"

Ouch.

That's about what I was expecting for with that ending. :/

Not much in the way of line-by-line comments, since I didn't notice much
in the way of errors.

Hooray!

It's a very nice story, and it's always a pleasure to read a good
Ranma/SM story - they're fairly hard to find lately.

I wish I had something more useful to say, but I guess I don't - this
one's good enough I can't really come up with any real improvements.

Congratulations. ;)

Excellent! Thank you very kindly for the comments, and I'm glad I was
able to create something that people O_Oed at. :)
