Glad to see it, can't wait for more.
And I'm glad to hear you liked it! :D
The only suggestion I would make is that you do a
little research into
simunitions and force on force scenario based
training.
"Force scenario based training", eh? Okay, onwards to
Altavista!!
Simunitions are marking rounds that can be fired
from modified firearms used
by the military, law enforcement, and citizen self
defense groups for force on
force training. They are more painful then paint
balls and from what I have
seen will raise a nasty blister full of blood where
they hit. Rewriting the
"smuggler raid" scene making reference to that might
make the story come across
as more believable. I am hopefully going to be
taking a tactical course in
July that will include use of simunitions. Maybe
when you write your next
chapter I will have some more insight
Well, the JOe should be toughened up...hehe just
kiddin'. So should I replace the paint balls with
simunitions? But several questions. Does everyone
wear some sort of vest? And if they do, how can they
feel if they've been hit?
Tactical force on force training tends to be much
more scripted then what you
wrote. For instance when I was training in cell
extraction for my job we
received a thorough briefing on the inmate we were
extracting and his motives and
issues leading to the extraction. The man
role-playing the inmate was given
specific guidelines on how he was to act and as the
scenarios progressed he
used more and more resistance until we were going
full out. After the end of
the scenario we all debriefed together and everyone
gave their own assessments
of their own and each other's performance.
Okay, so how should I go about implementing more
script into the raid? Everyone assessing each other
at the end or something?
Hope this helps.
It most definitely does! :D
Later,
Outlaw 1
Thanks for taking the time to review!
Dave
