Yomi suddenly had a very bad feeling, the kind that came when she

I agree with Yomi. This seems unusually thoughtful for Tomo.

I'm not so sure it's all that thoughful. Thoughtless I would think the
better term

"Only you could be stupid enough to think this proves anything." Yomi
sat back down, intent on pretending she didn't know Tomo until she
started acting normal. Or at least dressed like a girl, since going
for normal was aiming a bit too high.

True.

Yep

"Oh." A puzzled expression replaced Osaka's awe. "So asking Tomo out
is a bad idea, huh?"

Recognizes right answer when told.

Heh

Yukari stared at Tomo. "Asking implies a level of concern about you
on my part that simply doesn't exist."

Good answer.

Thanks. That was one of the first lines that came to me.

"So much for Yukari-sensei talking some sense into her," Yomi
muttered to Chiyo.

She was expecting, ok, hoping, that?

Hoping, but as we see, it was in vain.

"I thought you might like to go out sometime," Yuuto continued.

Before Yomi could say a word, a hand fell heavily on her shoulder and
Tomo's voice bellowed, "Hey there, Buddy, you'd better be ready for
the fight of your life when you go hitting on another man's woman."

Great timing.

For humor's sake, I'd hope it is. :)

"Oh, I see." And understood that she had no intention of getting
involved, so Kagura backed up and exited the room.

Very smart.

Yeah. She knows when getting involved will not make things better for anyone
else, and worse for herself in this instance.

"Girls are not allowed in the boys' locker room!" Nyamo shouted at
her as she released the hold on Tomo's arm.

"What about girls pretending to be guys?"

I could smell that one coming.

Huh. Didn't think it was telegraphed.

Discovering she had an audience, Tomo elaborated. "I found out why
they call Kakazu, 'The Mule'."

Big ears?

No. And it's not that he's sterile either, as someone suggested.

"Yep. He was showing us pictures of the mule," Tomo said. "It even
looks like him."

I guess that makes sense, considering the source.

Pretty much

"How about that. I couldn't even tell you were wearing a chest wrap."
Osaka turned to her companions. "Could any of you tell?"

They shook their heads.

Tomo's shoulders slumped in misery. "You're a cold, cold person,
Osaka."

That too. Not complaining though, it had to be said.

Well, more spaced out than cold. It's not that she doesn't care, it's just
that she doesn't know she should be caring.

So much for my Azumanga hiatus, though this was the only thing to
come to me in a while. Can't say when inspiration might strike next.
Ta-Ta.

We knew it was too good to last. :}b

Tomo seemed less manic than usual.

She was proving a point, which was where her energy was devoted to.

Thanks for the comments.
