Akane would remember the days they spent waiting for the
Reikoku to come as some of the best time she ever shared
with Ranma.

Cheer up Akane. If ever there was anybody with the potential to
learn Blind-Fu...

The Amazon girl showed them a talent
for healing that neither of them had realized she
possessed. It only made sense - she had studied the Amazon
arts under Elder Cologne, knew acupressure and herbology,
and had been good enough to be Dr. Tofu's assistant for a
while

It does make sense, and good point. Don't recall many fics that
mention this.

The Reikoku's aura didn't just increase as it closed the
distance - it exploded like a psychic bomb. Ranma heard
Akane let out an involuntary shriek as it hit her,
accompanied by a cry of shock from Shampoo. The wide valley
came alive with terror as all living things recoiled from
the approach of the Reikoku.

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Reikoku R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn? ^_^

Excellent description of ol' three eyes and his abilities,
throughout.
The Reikoku almost reminded me of a certain ludicrously
invincible pink character from another more grunt-orientated
series, but with more grounded Ranma 1/2 power levels.

He didn't explode... but the coin did. Overloaded from the
relay of energy, the grubby little disc of metal burst into
tiny fragments.

His friends crumpled to their hands and knees, gasping for
air, quaking with weakness. Ranma turned to face the
Reikoku, feeling like some kind of earthbound titan, like a
living force of nature. It was more power than he could
hope to contain for any length of time without burning out,
or perhaps exploding like a human bomb.

Great idea. Using established Ranma-verse techniques makes
the battle feel both insanely hard-fought, and the victory feel
genuine.

-
<Aw... to hell with it,> he thought in disgust. <I don't
send monsters out to do my dirty work. Yo, Reikoku?>

The three sigils glowed in silent response.

<Get lost.>

Off to the Indian Ocean with ya! Some sailors will let you out
eventually, I'm sure.

-
Great, great stuff. I'm looking forward to the coda that will be
the epilogues.
