If you're running Windows, use WordPad and save your story as a .txt

Better yet, Notepad. Notepad automatically uses .txt format. It's
what I write most of my works with. I copy text to Word to do a
spellcheck, but I apply all of the corrections to the original copy
in Notepad.
Geez, you guys. If someone is used to authoring in Word, the LAST thing
they want to hear is a chorus of anti-Microsoft bigots yelling "don't use
Word" at them.
I was wondering when an MS troll would raise its ugly
head. :) The moment anyone (rightly) criticizes MS or
it's buggy products, out pop the trolls and shills. I
certainly hope MS is paying you enough to make such a fool
out of yourself. :-D
Using MS WORD is the _worst_ thing a writer can do. Just
about anything else is better.
So defending the use of a *usable* tool automatically makes me a troll and
a shill?? Fine, I really don't need to listen to a bunch of bigots and
idiots on my own nickle. This forum has lost its use as a decent writer's
resource a *long* time ago, with the exception of a few sterling
individuals - a category you certainly don't belong to.
