The Blends Part 1
-------------------------

I believe I've successfully atomized my wife.

Now that's a hook.

My hands still shake when I think about it. I didn't
want to do it. My god, I love my wife more than anything in
the world... except our daughter, and that's who she was
experimenting on.

Ah, that make sense.

My doctor was almost too horrified to tell me. I've
got cancer, he said. Not in my brain, or in my lungs or
bones. Everywhere. Systemic cancer.

My, that's bad.

The old tome rested to her right, silently screaming
out in a voice no one could really hear but her.

How... interesting;

Mustering a smile, Aurora nodded. Katsuragi opened the
door and led her out, closing it behind them.
On the floor, the Book tried to rest sinisterly, but
rolled a 1 and botched and was forced to merely appear
disgruntled.

Hmm. Humor seems misplaced given the serious tone in the early parts

-------------------------

"You can take the seat next to Hatoyama-san," Katsuragi-
sensei said from the front of the classroom. The new
exchange student, Aurora, nodded quietly and walked down the
center of the classroom and sat next to Kimiko and was
immediately pummeled by quiet inquires as to her hobbies and
family and if everyone in America really owned a gun.

I've found the best way to deal with ridiculous stereotypical questions like
that is to be even more absurd than what is suggested. When it comes to this
one, the answer is:

Yes, mostly schoolkids. You need to shoot someone in order to graduate from
high school. Not kill, of course, but you can if you want.

This is the moral equivelent of politely calling someone a moron for
believing such drivel, and it tends to make them do a reality check.

     She looks interesting. I hope
she doesn't turn out to be evil.

Okay, maybe we're going for humor here after all

"It's ... different," said Aurora, taking a bite of her
sandwich. She noticed Mayu unpacking two bento boxes and
handing one to Amanda, who opened it immediately, revealing
one of the most impressively designed bento she'd seen in
Japan yet.

It doubles as a demon ward.

Amanda stopped. She was about to stand tall and
declare Aurora an agent of evil but

evil, but

"We could put up flyers," said Mayu. "Around the
school or in town incase

in case

Interesting enough. Good bit of humor throughout. Not much more I can say.
