I wrote this in about twenty minutes at Anime Central

You go to a con and write? How odd.

It was for the Writing Workshop. Everyone was asked to bring a sample of
their work to edit, but how many people bring their writing to a
convention? (I do...) So we were all given twenty minutes to write a
quick something, and I decided to go ahead and write this one since I'd
finally come up with a punchline. I try never to pass up a writing
opportunity.

    "What?" gasped Yuugi. "What card can do that?"
    Sakura chuckled. "The Wand of Clow, of course."

Ohh. Two series I don't like. Maybe they'll whack each other.

I'm not a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh anymore either, but I watch it because, in
the end, in the conglomerate, the story's pretty neat. Sort of like
Dragonball Z, which is why I like the manga so much. Also, it gives me
some neat ideas for the actual card game... like my not so famous combo
where I sacrifice two Dark Magicians to play a Magician of Black Chaos
(one of those really powerful Ritual summon monsters), then sacrifice
that to play a Dark Magician Girl who is more powerful by 100 attack
points due to the three magician cards in the graveyard. Of course, I
only had the opportunity to do that once, and I didn't because my
opponent was Kaiba and he always seems to have a trick or two up his
sleeve. So nowadays I go for the one round victory against him.

Cardcaptor Sakura, of course, was my favorite series of all time until I
saw Brigadoon.

Nice combo of the two. I'm surprised I haven't seen it somewhere

before.

It seemed a given to me... all I needed was a punchline, because "Duel
Monster Card Captor Sakura" just didn't have the same ring as the other
two punchlines from my CCS crossovers. I also figured that someone out
there might have heard of Yu-Gi-Oh. And now that the Rave Master anime
has made it to Cartoon Network, nobody will EVER get that joke. (Shadow
Guard, my butt.)
