"Voulez-vous choucher avec moi se soir?" Tomo asked happily.

Yukari paled. The teacher drew back, as though she was a vampire and
Tomo
was a cross.

XD THAT image alone was worth the price of admission!

It is easy to picture their 'shocked' faces. I watch the Turboneko-Get
Down, anime music video for inspiration sometimes, since it uses them
frequently.

(BTW, "as though she were")

Is it? I though it should be was since it's singular.

("Were" is correct grammatically, and should be used here, since
the sentence is description.)

"You remember that little one time incident back in college I had
with Yohko?"

And so, Yukari's brief and failed career as the 109th Demon Hunter
rears its ugly head.

What, you don't flashback to 'Yohko, Fantastic Warrior of Leda' when you
hear the Yohko name?

Regretably, I do sometimes. Anime to make the eyes bleed.

(Not so bad as all that, although I never did get what that damn
manta ray was supposed to symbolize.)

one another. Besides, even I was that way, I wouldn't want people to
think
I'm desperate."

"even if I were that way" -- unless that was deliberate.

same thing here. Not sure if it should be were or was. Anyone want to
help me with that one?

(Again, "were" is grammatically correct, but I'd leave it the
way it is because it's dialog. Most people do not speak perfectly
grammatical English... Not even all that many teachers.)
