Quoting The Eternal Lost Lurker <lurkerdrome@sbcglobal.net>:
Eventually she
stumbled upon a videotape her father had tucked away in a small box
under
his bed. It had a title that sounded French, 'Deluxe Menage a Trios,'.
Should be "sounded French, 'Deluxe Menage a Trois.'"
Actually, it should REALLY be...
It had a title that sounded French: "Deluxe Menage a Trois."
Well... If we care about correct French "grammaire et orthographe", let's go
all the way!
It had a title that sounded French: "Deluxe Menage a Trois."
It should really, REALLY be... "Mnage Trois Deluxe."
For the title (supposing it wasn't intentional):
"Je ne sais pas de quoi je parle" (I don't know what I'm talking about)
or
"Je ne sais pas ce que je dis" (I don't know what I'm saying)
and finally:
"Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?" (I'm pretty sure 'choucher' doesn't
exist...)
Actually, the tone is awfully formal ^_^;
I'd suggest:
"Tu veux coucher avec moi ce soir?"
But well, that sort of details really only hurts those for whom French is the
native language. Since we're probably not much more than a couple dozen on this
list, you can safely disregard this whole mail.
