bright and all that good stuff, has become quite a depressing thread.

I don't believe that non-explosive weapons would be very effective
against youma. Based on the way they die and their amorphous
shapeshifting/stretching qualities, they don't seem to have
internal organs.  Bear in mind that the typical youma takes a
flamethrower blast and a lightning bolt and still isn't
quite dead.  I have difficulty believing that bullets would be
more effective, given that the senshi attacks were apparently
specifically designed to deal with this sort of enemy.
Also, here's something to bear in mind.  Metallia can take
over people's minds.  She can either corrupt them or send immaterial
youma to possess them.  Either way, angry and afraid normals
with guns aren't the best way to fight off Metallia's troops.

In any case, to keep our heros and heroines center stage I recommend
that bullets just rip through youma, causing them irritation and
slowing them down, but not really injuring them.  Think of them as
vampires and werewolves, because, y'know, that's what they basically
are.
