Quantum Destinies used to get tons of responses, IIRC, but the last few 
chapters have gotten almost none that I noticed.

For the record, I am not dead, and QD is still being written.  ^_^

I confess I have not been following the discussions going on that generated 
this comment, but a kind soul on the FFML made me aware of my story being 
mentioned.

I haven't been very good at responding to emails sent to me regarding QD, 
but I do read every one and save C&C ones.  I really appreciate both 
Michael Chase and DB Sommer for taking the time and giving C&C to my story, 
even as slow and irregular as chapters have been getting released.  So, if 
you are a fanfic author, and they give you commentary, really pay attention 
to it.  They're both good.  Michael gives very fast response and DB has 
been helping me with Quantum Destinies since I first hacked out the 
preliminary version of chapter one far too many years ago.

I think longer stories like mine tend to receive less C&C as the chapters 
get bigger in number, but that just seems to be the nature of 
things.  Still, even if you don't have any particular C&C to give, just 
letting an author know that you're reading his/her stuff is a good 
thing.  C&C is the coin we all pay each other to keep writing, so we should 
all help each other out.  If there is a story out there that you like, tell 
the author.
