To you I must only recommend: "Look Harder, Think More". You aren't very
polite in your opiniated groupings of good authors and everyone else here,
but outside of that...a lot of those you mentioned still are around and
writing. Carrot has a real life to take care of. He's no longer of the
free time amount that he can sit their pumping out cheap SIs for everyone
all day long. Hawk's been sitting in my chatrooms the last month or so with
his nick being 'hawk-writing' and has been fairly easy to reach if you try.
He even put back up his site with several updates over the last few weeks,
which anyone who's stayed in contact with him knows. Skysaber is still
writing last I heard and does have a private site. He left public internet
specifically after being caught twice in a row for plagiarizing parts of
other authors writings. With his FFnet account deleted for breach of
contract (posting fics that were already on the site via plagiarism), his
natural paranoia took him from the web until Studio Asynjor gave him a
private webspace. Metro has produced in the past couple of months over a
thousand posts over at the Anime Addventure, so him not churning out his
concept fics elsewhere is no surprise. Fire, last I heard, was slammed hard
with RL and still hasn't gotten balanced. He does though answer his email.
Oneshot well... I think his own response says it all. Why not instead of
asking here use google a bit and email these guys? Some might just be going
through a hard inspiration time and your email might help them get over it.
A little effort goes a long way. And to the observant, some who've been
gone years slowly have been making their way back.

looking for what Phoenix (writer of Lines of Destiny)
and Fire (writer of Destiny's Child and others)
have done fiction wise recently

Nowhere near enough. :P

wondering if anyone knows anything?
and Krista Perry keep up good work with Hearts of Ice!!

More like 'suddenly decide to continue' then 'keep up'... *mutter*
Apparently HoI is undergoing a rewrite now... which means there is some
actual progress... but still... Krista, if you're reading this, stop
wasting
time on the FFML and WRITE MORE! :P

All the good authors disappear... Metroanime has stopped working on his
fics
and all but disappeared, though someone told me he's working on the Anime
Addventure (No, that isn't a typo.)... Skysaber caused all sorts of chaos
and apparently went off to sulk, or something, and isn't working on his
stuff anymore - work on it, hell, most of it's been taken off the net...
and
Skysaber is the main reason why I've taken to saving entire web sites to my
hard drive, I hate it when good fics disappear... Carrot is writing stuff,
but is a far cry from the good old days where he pumped out one chapter per
day, which absolutely ROCKED... OneShot has apparently decided to take a
month or two off or something, I wanna start an organisation which would
somehow get him blacklisted at all the game shops near where he lives so
that he can't buy any new games and has to go back to writing fanfiction :P

And then there's all the ones I've forgotten, which outnumber the ones I
can
remember by probably several orders of magnitude...

Fire's disappeared, I'd love him to do Destiny's Child 2... and there's
Hawk's 'Messed Up'... And what happened to Zen, anyway? Bitter End is still
the best darkfic I've ever read, it's like Vandread Second Stage episode 3,
you can't watch/read either of them without a box of tissues...

This is written in the likely vain hope that one of these authors has been
writing MASSIVE amounts of fanfiction in the last few years and will
suddenly decide to post it all after seeing this... Hey, I can dream...

Gourry frowned as he realized something was wrong. He thought about it for
a
long moment, seeming to strain as he grasped for some ideal that was just
beyond him. Finally, it hit him.

"I'm hungry."
