As was I intended it. Despite their strengths, the others are
ineffective against the raveners.

Just because Ukyo, Ryoga, etc, aren't winning their fights, doesn't mean
that we the readers don't want to see those fights.

Also, I would expect at least one of them to get injured -- cracked
ribs, perhaps.  Just having the person show up in the next scene, with
an injury, without any details of how it was gotten, gives a feeling
that something's been left out.  And, having everyone show up in the
next scene utterly unscathed feels even worse.
