Err, not quite. It's a a crossover of the two universes, with divergences
occurring in the middle (so to speak) of each series. Which means histories
up to the point of divergences should be identical to the source material.
Fusions are different in that there is almost always a complete rewrite of
the source material from the beginning. J. Wilde's Saotome Gambit being a
classic example of a fusion. Since you aren't familiar with the LH material
(like Lurker I've only seen the anime), it's understandable why there might
be a bit of confusion, though. I've picked up on descrepensies twix LH anime
and manga (the latter being what Brian is using), and had to ask him from
time to time if the stuff is original or from LH manga, since it doesn't
match my memory of the anime.
I *do* seem to recall hearing that very
little of Suu's is mentioned in the story till near the end, which would
give Brian freedom to change that however he desired.
Not really. How her past is introduced might be changed, but the past itself
occurred long before the LH divergence, so it would have to remain
consistant with what is known.
BTW: Suu's 'brother' is a physical twin to Keitaro, save that he's darker
skinned, and much cooler. :)
