This was written as a Spamfic. Yes, I do have a couple of ideas for
taking it into fic territory, but they're very tenative. However,
assuming that I were to do so (Hope you don't mind if I pick your
brains)...
The cast as stands right now is as follows.
Aramis-Utena
Athos-Hikaru Shidou
Porthos-Ryoko
D'artangan-Ranma Saotome.
Richileu-Kagato (Or the movie version of Professor Snape...what about
Anubis from Ronin Warriors? =) )
King and Queen-Usagi and Tenchi (At least, those are the names the
public knows.)
Captain Rouschbae- ? (I'm thinking Nagi, but that would be too many
characters from Tenchi)
Lady DeWinter-?
Constance-?
Hikaru and Utena are tenative castings. I've only read one issue of
Utena and of course read fanfics posted to the FFML, and I did read
the entire MKR manga...once...several years ago. However, they were
the only two I could think of who could fill the bill of a poet and a
fallen noble.
I would suggest you go look at 'The Anime Primer, or, "What Anime Should
I Watch Now?"' on rec.arts.anime.fandom, and see what fics you've read
enough of to use characters from. (And, just as importantly, stories
which us folks on the ffml have likely read enough of to recognize
characters from)
While I don't really know about their skills at poetry... nor about them
being "fallen" nobles, here's some anime princesses you might consider:
Gracia el Naga Sailoon, Vampire Princes Muyo, Lum Redet, Nene Romanova
(whaddya mean, she's not really a princess? She's a Romanova, ain't
she?:)), Rune or Fatora of el Hazard, or Emeraude of Cephiro.
As for Ryoko and Ayeka, I wanted each of the "Musketeers" to be from
a different anime/manga and considering the direction I seem to be
going, Aykea, Tenchi, et al will be long since dead anyway.
I wasn't suggesting Ryoko *and* Ayeka, but rather, Ayeka *instead* of
Ryoko.
Considering that Jurians seem nearly immortal, why would Ayeka, Tenchi,
etc, be long since dead, though?
However, I would like to assure you that Ryo-Oki will still be
there...and so will Washu. The rest of the cast would also be from
different series.

Even Kagato is just someone else with the same name, though his origin
does have something to do with the original.
As for the whole Genomancer thing, I figure that what the Genomancer
actually did was infect Saotome with a biological computer that when
it senses him being hit with cold or hot water, it uses transporter
technology or whatever to rearrange his molecules.
Saying "or something" is essentially the same thing as saying "magic".
Over time, it bonds with his very genetic structure until its as much
as a part of him as the rest of him.
As for the horses, I figure its something like a tiny car, as it was a
spamfic, I never really bothered to think it through.
What, like an ATV?
I can imagine Ryo-oki transforming into a Star Wars-type Speeder bike,
or perhaps even into a Valdemaran Chirra (which would be an animal, not
a vehicle, but at least you could ride one, unlike a tiny cabbit), but
not into an ATV. Does that mean I need to go and by a new imagination?
It was written at something like one in the morning. Ironically,
that's when I get some of my strangest and best ideas, and yet, its
also when I shouldn't be writing because of tiredness.
Strange and good ideas are good! :) Don't worry about tiredness, just
don't be writing on a computer at that time of day, since there's a
chance you'll fall asleep when it's on -- if you're tired, turn off your
computer, and write your ideas on paper (sitting in bed or on a couch)
