5) Burning One: this is derived from the name "Lucifer." A common
misconception is that the Devil's name as an angel was Lucifer, but
became Satan after the Fall. In reality (or what passes for it in
theological philosophy), the angel's name was Sammael and became Satan
after the Fall. Lucifer is a nickname derived from the Christian
conceptualization of Hell (fire and brimstone) meaning something along
the lines of "Bringer of Fire" in Latin. This is why matches and
fireflies both have names similar to "lucifer" in most romance languages
("luciole" in French; "luciola" in Italian; "luci�rnaga" in Spanish):
they are also "bringers of fire."
"Light," not "fire," actually. From "lux" (light) and "ferre" (to
bring).

Lucifer/Satan/Sammael thing. But I digress ... :)
As regards the story ... frankly, it's rather difficult to have much of
an opinion yet, since it's not obvious where you're going with the story
yet. The reference to "Mike" (presumably Michael) is intriguing.
I will note that you're falling into a classic fan error in simply
dismissing the two fathers as idiots. The manga shows that Ranma, for
example, can be every bit as idiotic. (Consider the reversal-jewel
story, where Ranma actually fights to get Shampoo back as a fiancee, when
he never wanted her in the first place!) Frankly, the younger generation
doesn't have a whole lot over the older one. :)
