This fic is so close to the ending it's not funny^_^ It seems this fic
just broke right on through the 2meg mark in size. I think there's
probably one or two more updates left before this fic is actually
concluded. By then, it'll probably be topping off at around 2.2megs.

To anoyone who haven't read this fic, you can find the previous
parts/chapters/updates of it on my website.
http://www.anime.sobhrach.com/~jeffwong/

I'm sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes. I have yet to edit this.
What I have updated is just the rought draft. Once I'm finished with this
fic, I'll go back and edit it for mistakes.

<new stuff 8/16>

(The scene changes on to Ranma and Shori. They are now outside the
hospital, having been told that if they wanted to talk, they should
either go to the waiting room or outside, not stay in the middle of the
hallway where doctors and nurses walked about.)

Ranma: There is one problem though.

Shori: What is it?

Ranma: I still have to cure myself of my curse.

Shori: (Smiles)It doesn't matter. I don't mind your curse. It's hard
getting used to it at first, even now, but I know I'll get used to it
given the time.

Ranma: (Smiles)Thanks for being so understanding. However, I've already
told Sayuri that I would accompany her to Joketsuzoku.

Shori: W-what?

Ranma: Don't get upset. I can explain.

Shori: P-please, so.

Ranma: First off, Sayuri is a friend and there is absolutely positively
nothing going on between us.

Shori: I believe you.

Ranma: She likes me though.

Shori: ........I-I know. I heard about it on the plane-ride her.

Ranma: But it doesn't matter. I love you. Remember that. Even when I left
Japan, I never stopped thinking about you.

Shori: (Smiles)I-I never stopped thinking about you either.

Ranma: The thing is is that I told her I would accompany her to
Joketsuzoku. That's a village deep in China where her sister lives....and
the village located right next to Jusenkyo, the place where I can find my
cure.

Shori: R-really?

Ranma: Yes. She also knows the way to the village. If I accompany her,
she will get to the village safely because I'll be her escort, and I'll
find my cure much much faster than had I wandered around looking for
Jusenkyo.

Shori: T-that's incredible.

Ranma: Yeah. However, if you're uncomfortable about my escorting her...

Shori: ..........um...........

Ranma: If it makes you uncomfortable, then I won't go.

Shori: Y-you will?

Ranma: Yes. I can always try and cure myself another time.

Shori: No. Don't. I know you really want to be cured. Go.

Ranma: R-really? A-aren't you uncomfortable about it?

Shori: (Smiles warmly)You know what? The answer is no. I'm not
uncomfortable about it. If it means your getting cured, something you've
always wanted, then I have nothing against it or to be worried about.

Ranma: (Embraces Shori)Thank you. Thank you for understanding. Are you
sure you're fine with this?

Shori: Yes.

Ranma: You can come if you want, to keep your mind at ease.

Shori: I can?

Ranma: Of course. Actually, I'd very much like for you to come. I don't
know how long it would take but I don't want to miss even one day without
you, even if it is on my getting cured.

Shori: No. I don't need to.(Teary eyed)I was waiting for that.

Ranma: Say what?

Shori: Ask me to come with you. I means that you're worried about my
worrying about you. This gives me even more reason not to worry about you
and Sayuri being together.

Ranma: (Smirks)Heh. I get it.

Shori: Actually, I think there is another way of getting to that
Joketsuzoku village.

Ranma: Really? How?

Shori: I'm sure we can fly in.

Ranma: It's in a remote and secluded part of China.

Shori: Oh. Well, I'm sure my dad'll be able to get a helicopter or
something that can bring you guys there.

Ranma: R-r-really?

Shori: (Nods)Yes. I don't really know who my dad calls, but all I know is
that he can get a lot of things done and set in to motion by making a few
phone calls.

Ranma: Wow.

Shori: Yes. For all we know, we can have you and Sayuri setting down in
Joketsuzoku by tomorrow morning.

Ranma: Man, that's great.

Shori: Let's go ask him.

Ranma: Right. Wait, where is your dad?

Shori: He's talking to his friend.

Ranma: Friend?

Shori: It seems my dad is friends with that big guy that's here at the
hopsital.

Ranma: Boon? Your dad knows Boon?

Shori: Yes, Boon, that was what he called himself.

Ranma: Oh man. This is unbelieveable. I've gotta hear this.

(Together, Ranma and Shori head in to the hospital, heading toward Boon's
room. On the way, they bump in to Sayuri, Akemi, and Reia.)

Sayuri: Um, hey.

Ranma: Hey.

(Ranma and Sayuri both open their mouths to say something but nothing
comes out.)

Sayuri: Um, I'm sorry.

Ranma: ....................

Sayuri: I never knew.

Ranma: I-It's fine.

Sayuri: I only persued you because I thought you were dumped.

Shori: ....................

Ranma: Y-you understand?

Sayuri: I should have backed off when you told me how much you loved
Shori. But I kept persisting because I figured you'd eventually grow out
of love.

Shori: ....................

Sayuri: I would never have done this had I known. I figured you still
loved her when she hated you. I figured you were just not interested in
getting in a relationship at the time.

Ranma: I've told you before, that I love Shori.

Sayuri: And I should have listened.

Ranma: Look, it's all right. I knew how it was for you. You thought that
I had been dumped.

Sayuri: Y-yeah. I-I'm sorry.

Ranma: I don't blame you. I thought the same too.

Shori: I feel all at fault because of that.

Ranma: No. It was all because of me. It all happened because I jumped to
conclusions. If anyone's at fault, it's me.

Sayuri: It was all a misunderstanding it seems.

Ranma: Quite.

Sayuri: It seems all of this have been cleared up. I talked to Akemi and
Reia here and they explained everything to me.

Shori: You guys did?

Akemi: Yeah. It seems Sayuri assumed the same thing that I or Reia would
have assumed if we were in her shoes.

Sayuri: I'm not that kind of girl. Yes, I liked Ranma and I did persue
him, but only, only because I thought it was under totally different
circumstances. I would never want a girl to go after someone I love and
would never want to do that to anyone in exchange. I'm not like that.

Shori: I understand.

Akemi: (Smiling)Okay guys, now you can hug.

(Sayuri and Shori look at Akemi before each other. They both give a
slight laugh before actually doing so, giving each other a hug.)

Sayuri: No hard feeling?

Shori: No hard feelings.

Ranma: Wow, this worked out a lot better than I thought. I figured it was
going to be really complicated.

Akemi: Ranma, we talk things through. What, you think Shori and Sayuri
were going to butt heads? Girls are different from guys.

Ranma: Obviously. I clearly see.

Akemi: Hey, you two never officially introduced one another.

Sayuri: (Smiles)Don't worry, I don't think we need to.

Shori: Right.

Sayuri: It's really nice meeting you. When I saw you and Ranma together,
you two make a really cute couple.

Shori: (Blushing)T-thank you.

Sayuri: I must say, I was a bit angry at you, before I knew about what
had really happened.

Shori: Mad? At me?

Sayuri: When I saw Ranma so affected with what had happened that led him
to leave Japan. All he mentioned was of your name and how you hated him.
I resented you for doing that to him. Of course, I didn't know the whole
story, not until now.

Shori: Oh. I guess that's understandable.

Ranma: Oh, Sayuri, I think I may have some good news.

Sayuri: What good news?

Ranma: We might be able to get to Joketsuzoku real quickly, without
having to hike there.

Sayuri: (Surprised)Really? How?

Shori: My dad might be able to help.

Sayuri: How?

Shori: My dad might be able to get us a helicopter that can fly us all
the way there.

Sayuri: How? What's you dad do?

Shori: He works in the airline business, but I wouldn't put it past him
to be able to do something like that by making a few simple phone calls.

Akemi: (Interested)Well, let's go find out.

Reia: Right.

(Ranma and the others go to Boon's room. As they enter, they hear three
adults laughing.)

Boon: (Remembering)Man, I remember that. I have no idea where I found
that mirror and what world I ended up in.

Mr. Hyusa: Ranma! You're back!

Boon: Welcome back, boy.

(Mr. Hyusa does something unexpected as he walks over and give Ranma a
quick hug. It only lasted for a secod, if that.)

Mr. Hyusa: It's good to see that you're okay.(Notices Sayuri)You must be
Sayuri.

Sayuri: H-how do you do?

Mr. Hyusa: I'm Shori's father.

Sayuri: Ah.

Boon: He is also my long-time friend from a long time ago. He is the man
that Marlena and I travelled together with over twenty years ago.

Sayuri: Really?

Marlena: Yep. This is the guy I mentioned about.

Sayuri: Wow.

Boon: (Laughs)It's really odd how all of us seem to be interconnected in
some way or another. Ranma and Shori are a couple. Shori's father is my
friend. Marlena is from the same village as where you're headed. Man,
this kind of coincidence only happen in stories. Don't happen in real
life.

Marlena: But it just did or this wouldn't be happening.

Boon: (Laughs)Got a point there.

Shori: Daddy, can you do us a favor?

Boon: Aw, Shori calls her old man 'Daddy'.

Shori: (Blushing).....................

Mr. Hyusa: Ignore the big guy behind me. What is it?

Shori: (Clears throat)Um, do you have access to a helicopter?

Mr. Hyusa: Yes, if I need one.

Akemi: How come I'm not surprised?

Mr. Hyusa: What do you need it for?

Shori: Can you give us a ride to Joketsuzoku?

Mr. Hyusa: What for? Oh, because that's where Sayuri needs to be?

Shori: That too.

Mr. Hyusa: Too?

Shori: Ranma needs to go there too.

Mr. Hyusa: What for?

Ranma: My curse.

Mr. Hyusa: Curse?

Boon: Curse?

Akemi: (Softly to Ranma)Shori's dad didn't know about your curse.

Ranma: .................(Thinking)Oh man! I forgot! Boon doesn't know
about my curse either!

Shori: (Nervously to father)N-nothing.

Mr. Hyusa: (Narrows eyes)Sorry, but you're too late. What's this curse?
Does it have to do with Ranma believing you hating him?

Shori: .................

Boon: Ooh, this is interesting.

Mr. Hyusa: I thought you said it was because he revealled that was
betrothed to someone else.

Ranma: .................

Shori: Um, er......

Mr. Hyusa: Looks, whatever. I'm just glad things are cleared up between
the two of you.

Boon: Says you. I wanna know what this curse is.

Ranma: Um, can we forget it?

Boon: (Laughs)Nope. You made the mistake of saying that. Now you gotta
live with it. Fess up. What's the curse?

Ranma: ..................

Boon: Must be really horrible or funny, either one.

Ranma: ..................

Boon: C'mon, show us, I promise I won't laugh.....hard.

Akemi: You shouldn't show them, Ranma. Shori's dad is old. He might have
a heart attack.

Boon: Hey, I'm older than him, by one year.

Akemi: ..................

Boon: Don't worry. I already had one. I don't think it's possible to have
backed to back heart attacks. There's probably some kinda worldly
protocol or prerequiste period of time before a person can have a second
one.

Mr. Hyusa: What's this curse? How bad could it be?

Ranma: Fine I'll tell you.....tell you....not show you.

Mr. Hyusa: Show? What kinda curse would that be? Would it require you
pulling down your pants or something, if it is, then please, just tell of
your curse then.

Ranma: It's nothing like that!!!(Thinking)Not entirely....

Boon: (Very interested)So, what is it?

Ranma: I turn in to a girl.

Mr. Hyusa: A girl?

Boon: A girl?

Ranma: Yes. I turn in to a girl.

Boon: Show us! Oh man, I gotta see this!!

Ranma: No!

Boon: Then how can we be sure?

Marlena: Oh, don't worry, he turns in to a girl.

Boon: You know about it?

Marlena: Yeah. He showed me on the boat not too long ago. However, I was
asked to keep it a secret.

Boon: Why you? You're a woman. Woman can't keep secrets.

Marlena: Oh I did not just hear that.

Ranma: ..................

Boon: (To Ranma)Do you turn in to a hot girl?

Marlena: What?!?

Boon: (Holding up hands)N-nevermind. Nevermind.

Mr. Hyusa: Ranma, I think it's best that you show us. I really want to
see this.

Boon: Me too.

Marlena: Damn perverts. The both of you.

Mr. Hyusa: Marl, I'm just curious! That's all!

Boon: I just wanna see if he has nice rack.

Marlena: (Grabs Boon's bad knee)What was that?

Boon: (Wincing in pain)Erk! Let go, woman!

Marlena: Hmph!(Let's go)

Boon: Jeez. I was just playing around.(Rubs knee)

Mr. Hyusa: Ranma, this curse was the reason what led up to this
misunderstanding?

Ranma: Yes.

Mr. Hyusa: ................

Akemi: Ranma, maybe it's best that you show 'em.

Reia: I agree. I don't think Shori's dad realizes exactly who you turn in
to.

Ranma: ............fine. I'll be right back.

(Ranma leaves to get a cup of water.)

Mr. Hyusa: Where's he going?

Akemi: Um, his curse requires cold water to be activated.

Mr. Hyusa: Cold water?

Akemi: Yeah.

Mr. Hyusa: Okay.

Reia: You're going to be really surprised.

Mr. Hyusa: Probably.

Boon: I wonder if it'll be as surprising as that time we ate those
mushrooms and became little kids.

Mr. Hyusa: (Smirks)Yeah, that was funny.

Shori: Little kids?

Boon: Don't worry. Stuff that happened many years ago. Not all that
interesting.

Shori: Okay.

Boon: (Smirks)Damn, I can't wait to see this.

Marlena: Yeah, and I'm pretty sure I know why.

Boon: If you know, then there's no need for you to say it.

Marlena: You're just interested in seeing what kinda girl he turns in to.

Boon: Didn't I just say if you knew don't bother.....ah nevermind.

(Ranma returns to the room carrying a cup of cold water. In his other
hand is a cup of warm water.)

Ranma: Y'ready?

Boon: Yep.

Mr. Hyusa: Yes.

(Ranma pours the cup of water over his head. His muscular larger form
immediately takes on a more petite shapely form.)

Boon: (Surprised)Wow. Now that's what I call a cool party trick.

Mr. Hyusa: ....................

Akemi: Man, even though I've seen it before, it's still surprising as
heck seeing it.

Reia: Definitely.

Shori: ...................(Thinking)It's still so shocking for me. I
wonder how long it'll take for me to ever get use to it.

Ranma-chan: This is my cursed form. I turn in to a girl when I'm splashed
with cold water.

Mr. Hyusa: Y-your cursed for is Ranko?

Ranma-chan: (Long pause)Y-yes.

Mr. Hyusa: ....................

Boon: Who's Ranko?

Ranma-chan: I'm sorry. I should have came clean the very first day.

Mr. Hyusa: Yes. You should have.

Ranma-chan: I understand if you're angry at me. However, I meant no harm.
I never meant for it to turn out like this.

(There was a long awkward pause as Mr. Hyusa seems to absorb what Ranma
had just revealed.)

Ranma-chan: ..................

Mr. Hyusa: (Shrugs)Well, it's no harm.

Ranma-chan: R-really?

Mr. Hyusa: I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't reveal this earlier,
but I'm okay with it.

Akemi: (Shocked)Hr. H., you're not shocked?

Mr. Hyusa: I'm a but surprised, yes. But not so shocked that I'm
speechless.

Akemi: How can you take it with a grain of salt like that? It's as if
news like this just bounces right off of you.

Marlena: (Smirking)Guys take shocking news differently.

Boon: So, Ranma, lettme get this straight, when you get splashed with
cold water-

Ranma-chan: I turn in to a girl.

Boon: A real girl?

Ranma-chan: Yes.

Boon: (Points toward Ranma's chest)So....those are real?

Marlena: Why you!

Boon: Bah, forget it. It's obvious the Amazon woman here ain't gonna let
me have any fun and ask questions I really wanna ask. Hmph.

Mr. Hyusa: It's definitely surprising. I'm not denying it. However,
Ranma's curse, if that's how it is, then that's how it is.

Akemi: Wow, Mr. H., you're really understanding.

Mr. Hyusa: Thanks. And please, stop calling-

Akemi: Me, I'm still surprised when I see it.

Ranma-chan: Lettme make it easier for you guys then.

(Ranma pours the cup of warm water over his head. He instantly reverts
back to his original form.)

Boon: Definitely a good party trick.

Ranma: Is this better?

Boon: (Smirks)Say, since you can turn in to a girl, does that mean you
actually know where a woman's fabled and mythological G-spot is?

Mr. Hyusa: My daugther and her friends are here!!

Marlena: (Grabbing Boon's knee)There's children here!!

(Ranma, Shori, Sayuri, Reia, and Akemi are all blushing a deep shade of
red.)

Boon: Argh! Lettgo, woman!

Marlena: (Lets go of Boon's knees)You need to watch what you say. Just
because you're used to talking amoung seamen most of your day, that
doesn't give you the excuse to just say anything that pops in to your
head. You need to watch your tongue.

Boon: Hmph! Fine.

Marlena: I had popped your kneecap in its place. I can pop it back out.

Boon: ......................

Mr. Hyusa: (Clearing throat)About the helicopter thing...

Shori: You can get it, right?

Mr. Hyusa: Well, yes, whether or not it'll be useful for trasportation
depends on distance. How far away is Joketsuzoku?

Marlena: Around four hundred miles.

Sayuri: Around for hudred miles.

Mr. Hyusa: Oh, then that wouldn't be possible.

Shori: Why not?

Mr. Hyusa: Helicopters have a range of approximatedly three hundred
miles.

Akemi: Can't you stop at a gas station?

Mr. Hyusa: I wish it was that easy, but that's not the case. Anyway, the
village is beyond a helicopters range.

Shori: Oh. Is there any other way?

Mr. Hyusa: Not that I can think of. Sayuri, is it that important to get
to Joketsuzoku?

Sayuri: Well, kind of. My sister is there and I want to relay a message
to her. Also-

Ranma: The cure to my curse can be found there.

Mr. Hyusa: Oh.(Thinks for a moment)Well, since Sayuri seems to know where
the village is, there is a very quick and immediate way of getting there.

Sayuri: Really? How?

Mr. Hyusa: Skydiving in.

Sayuri: (Becoming pale).................

Ranma: Um, I've fallen from high places before, but I've never gone
skydiving. I don't think I'm up to sky diving. I dunno about Sayuri.

Sayuri: N-no. I-I can't. I'm terrified of heights.

Ranma: Really? I never knew that.

Boon: Me neither.

Marlena: Same here, and we talk all the time.

Sayuri: Why do you think I took a ship instead of plane?

Marlena: Got a point there. Never thought about it like that.

Ranma: Well, I guess the only way there is through hiking.

Shori: Ranma, if it's four hundred miles away, you know how long it'll
take to get there by foot?

Ranma: (Thinks for a moment)Probably around half a day. Need to stop and
rest, afterall.

Akemi: Um, it's a tad bit longer.

Ranma: No if we do it my way.

Akemi: Your way?

Ranma: Yeah. I can run that distance in no time, probably in around four
hours. This includes my stopping every here and there to catch my breath.
However, since Sayuri'll be with me, I'll simply piggy back her all the
way there. It'll slow me down and I'll get tired more frequently. That's
why it'll probably take me a bit longer.

(Everyone in the room except the adults went silent.)

Boon: Four hundred miles in around four hours? That's a hundred miles per
hour sprinting speed. Even I couldn't do that went I was at my peak.

Marlena: Actually, about the same. (Looks at Mr. Hyusa)Wouldn't you
agree?

Mr. Hyusa: Yes. Give or take.

Akemi: What are you guys talking about?

Mr. Hyusa: Nothing. Forget about it.(Smiles)

Ranma: Of course, this'll be extremely taxing on me, but if it gets me
cured quicker and Sayuri safely to Joketsuzoku, then I have no problem
with doing so.

Marlena: How come you didn't do this when you first left?

Ranma: Oh you mean when you found us only thirty miles out from town
after around a six hours from when we left?

Marlean: Yeah.

Ranma: We weren't in a rush. Besides, I thought I had all the time in the
world since I didn't intend to go back to Japan ever again.

Shori: ....................

Ranma: However, if we go about it hiking like before, it'd take way too
long. I have something to look forward to going back to Japan for.(Smiles
toward Shori)

Shori: (Blushing)................

Ranma: Actually, we'd probably get there even faster. I'll only be
carrying Sayuri. Since I'll be there before the end of the day, there's
no need for lugging around camping equipment.

Marlena: If you think about it, that's a very very good idea. You can get
to and from Joketsuzoku within an entire day.

Ranma: (Laughs)The funny thing is that knowledge of where the village
exists probably cut wandering around looking for it by myself by around a
month.(To Sayuri)What do you think? You up to it, my carrying you all the
way there?

Sayuri: Um....I guess I don't mind if it means getting there much much
quicker.

Boon: When do you guys intend to go? It's just the two of you?

Ranma: Um, I guess so.(Turns toward Shori)Not unless you want to come
along.

Shori: No. There's no need. I trust you.

Sayuri: (Becoming teary eyed).....................

Shori: Something the matter?

Sayuri: I-it's just really amazing, such trust. (Thinking)I wonder if
I'll ever find something like that, to be able to trust someone like that
so easily.

Ranma: Um, actually, it wasn't like that. Um, Shori trusted me, but I
broke that trust....by not revealing my curse.

Shori: It's okay. I understand what had led you to do what you did. I
probably would have done that if I was in the same situation.

Ranma: (Smiles)Thanks. That really means a lot.

Mr. Hyusa: You guys plan on leaving now?

Ranma: Sure, not unless there's some other reason we should stay.

Mr. Hyusa: Actually, I wouldn't mind us all going out and getting some
food. We can all talk about everything and get things all cleared out, so
there would be no shadow of doubt which could lead to any form of
misunderstanding.

Akemi: Mr. H., your idea sounds good, but I think you're just being a bit
paranoid. The misunderstanding was cleared up when Shori and Ranma saw
each other again.

Mr. Hyusa: You havea point. And can you please stop-

Akemi: Besides. It's really late so all the restaurants are probably
close.

Mr. Hyusa: ........................

Ranma: (To Shori)What do you think? Would you be comfortable in my
leaving right now to go to Joketsuzoku.

Shori: I don't mind.

Ranma: Thanks. I'll do my best to be back by the same day.

Shori: (Smiles)That's all I need to hear.

Ranma: Do you happen to have some kind of cell phone I can borrow? That
way, we can get in contact, in case anything happens that prevents me
from getting back right away.

Shori: (Worried)W-what could that be?

Ranma: Nothing to worry about. It's just in case. It could be something
like I accidentally twist my ankle or something and just wanna rest so it
heals. I just don't want you worried sick waiting for me to get back and
getting even more worried when I might be a bit late. It could be
something as simple as I get lost or something and took a wrong turn.

Shori: Oh.

Ranma: However, even if I get really lost, it won't take me too long to
find my way back. It might take away from when I'm expected to get back,
but I'll be back nonetheless.

Shori: I understand.

(Shori reaches in to one of her pocket and produces the cell phone. She
hands it to Ranma.)

Shori: (To father)Daddy, do you have your cell phone with you?

Mr. Hyusa: Of course. I always have it.

Shori: Okay. Just making sure.(To Ranma)The number for my dad's cell
phone is the first number in the phone's memory.

(Shori gives Ranma a quick show of how to access the number and dial it.)

Ranma: Okay. I've got it.

Akemi: You know what's weird?

Reia: What?

Akemi: We both know that she's always had a cell phone all along. I don't
think I've ever heard it ever ring.

Reia: That's because we're always with her. Why would we call her cell
phone if we're always with her?

Akemi: You got a point.

Marlena: (To Ranma and Sayuri)If you guys want, I can go along.

Shori: Y-you can?

Marlena: Why not?

Boon: When does the ship leave?

Marlena: Tomorrow morning. You'll be holed up here until the ship gets
back from Korea. Since I won't come back in time, all I hafta do is tell
Frog not to wait up and leave without me. The only problem is who would
take my place for cooking.

Boon: Just tell him to have the other two cooks cook, one per shift. They
can deal with it. You've been cooking by yourself. It's about time they
know just what you had to go through cooking for the crew.

Marlena: (Smirks)That's what I was thinking.

Boon: And when they get to Korea, have 'em pick up two extra cooks for
the trip back to China since there'll be more crew on for that portion of
the trip.

Marlena: That's a very good idea.

Boon: Hey, I ain't captain for nothing.

Marlena: (Smirks)Don't get your ego all bloated or nothin'. It ain't
exactly some life of death decision you just suddenly came up with.

Boon: (Laughs)I know. No need to remind me.

Marlena: (To Ranma)So, what do you think? You want me to come?

Ranma: Sure. It'd be even better that way. That way, you can keep me
company on the way back.

Sayuri: What about me?

Ranma: Huh?

Sayuri: Aren't I coming back?

Ranma: What for? I thought you were going there to visit your sister and
stay there.

Sayuri: But I would like to carry out the rest of my job on the ship.

Boon: Sorry, lil lady, but the ship'll be long gone by the time you guys
get back.

Sayuri: Oh, yeah. You're right.

Boon: Don't worry about it. You don't have anymore obligations toward me
or the ship anymore.

Sayuri: Um, it's just that.....well.....

Boon: Come, spit it out.

Sayuri: I liked working on the ship. I wouldn't mind working on there
more.

Boon: If you want, you're welcome to join up with the crew after the ship
gets back to China.

Sayuri: Really?

Boon: Sure. However, I must say, how come the sudden change? Weren't you
dead set on leaving once you got to China? What makes you wanna come
back?

Sayuri: I kind of liked working on there.

Boon: (Laughs)Don't worry, you're not alone. I like working on there too
and so does Marlena and basically everyone else on that ship.

Sayuri: I originally wanted to go to Joketsuzoku to relay a message to my
sister and stay there for a while to figure things out. Hoever, I think I
know what I want to do...

Boon: You mean be a cook on the ship?

Sayuri: I think so. I'm still not too sure if it's truly what I want to
do, but I'm willing to give it a try. Over the several days I was working
on the ship, it kind of grew on me.

Boon: (Smiles)That's very admirable of you, already knowing what you
wanna do at your age. When I...heck, when Tsuki, Marlena, and I were your
age, we didn't know what we were going to do. I admire how you already
have an idea of what you want to do.

Sayuri: Thanks.

Boon: Well, I guess now that everything's clear, you three should get
going.

Ranma: Right.

Marlean: We'll be back in no time.

(Ranma, Sayuri, and Marlena head for the door. Before Ranam reaches the
door, he stops. Sayuri and Marlena almost bump in to his back.)

Sayuri: Something the matter?

Ranma: (Smiles)I forgot something very very important.

(Ranma walks up to Shori, a warm smile on his lips. As if it was natural
to him, Ranma bends forward and kisses Shori very tenderly on her lips.)

Ranma: (Softly)I love you.

Shori: (Very happy)I love you too.

(Shori returns the kiss. Her kiss is gentle and full of her love for
him.)

Mr. Hyusa: ..................(Thinking)What am I supposed to do? Ranma's
kissing my little girl, and right in front of me. I know they love each
other, but still, it's uncomfortable seeing him kiss my little girl like
that. I should interrupt them.

Akemi: (Nudging Mr. Hyusa)Don't even think about it.

Mr. Hyusa: .....................

(Ranma and Shori reluctantly break their kiss.)

Ranma: I'll be back soon.

(Ranma turns around and leaves the room. Marlena, a smirk on her lips,
follow. Sayuri, blushing a bit from witnessing such a show of affection,
also follow suit.)

Boon: (Towards Akemi and Reia)So, what's your story?(Smirks)

(We follow Ranma as he races through the streets, Sayuri comfortably on
his back, Marlena running right next to him.)

Ranma: (Estatic)God, this feels good!

Sayuri: What?

Ranma: Feeling the wind. Feeling like a huge weight had been lifted off
my shoulders. Feeling that I now have a purpose in my life again.

Sayuri: ...................

Ranma: When I'm cured, I'm going to ask Shori to marry me.

Sayuri: Really?

Ranma: Yeah. Now that I have Shori again, I'm never letting her go.

Sayuri: Have Shori again? I don't think you ever lost her.(Smiles)

Ranma: I guess you have a point there. All I know is that once I'm cured,
I will be so much happier.

Sayuri: Does finding a cure mean that much to you?

Ranma: It means a lot. However, it pales in comparison to Shori. I feel
like the luckiest guy in the world. To think that after all that I've
done, and how I've hurt her so terribly so, she still loves me and
forgives me.

Sayuri: (Smiles)Yes, you're very lucky. Shori's very sweet.

(Opening scene: It is an early Thursday morning. We are in the village
center of Joketsuzoku. There are many hand-built wooden homes surrounding
the area. The house look nothing like houses found it modern society,
tending to look more like a log cabin than anything else. There are tiny
ponds about, seemingly strategically man-made in good locations. It is
barely dawn. From the right enters Ranam, still carrying Sayuri and
Marlena.)

Ranma: (Putting Sayuri down)W-we're here.

Marlena: (Looking around)I haven't been in this village for around thiry
years. I can clearly see the memories of my childhood.(Points)Like that
tiny pond over there is where I used to play with the other village
children.

Sayuri: I don't remember much about this.

Marlena: You remember which house is your sister's?

Sayuri: Yes. I remember this section of the village. I used to use it as
a reference point. (Points)My sister's house is that one over there, the
very last house.

Marlena: Oh yeah. I forgot. Whenever the village accepts outsiders, their
house is built by the outskirts of the village.

(Ranma notices two shadowy figures dashing between the houses.)

Ranma: We're being watched.

Marlena: (Laughs)Oh yeah. This village is patrolled. Forgot about that as
well.

Ranma: Who's watching us? Some kinda sentry guards?

Marlean: Village guards. They're bascially regular villagers that carry
weapons on a regular basis. I used to be one. That's how I found Boon
when he stumbled in to the village.

(Marlena says something in Chinese. This prompts the two figure to emerge
from the shadows and in to the tiny bit of light being generated by that
dawing sun. From out of the shadows emerge a young girl with green hair
very similar hairstyle to Shampoo's. The other figure looks as if she was
that girl's twin except she had what looked like dark purple hair, much
darker than Shampoo's. Ranma's jaw almost drops to the floor as he finds
himself regarding Ling-Ling and Lung-Lung. One looks to be hold a spear
and the other a sword.)

Ranma: (Sighs)You've gotta be kidding me.

Sayuri: Who are they?

Ranma: Two girls that came to Japan that tried to kill me.

Ling-Ling: (Brandishing weapon)Ranma?!(Thinking)Ranma different. He look
very very strong, far stronger than we last saw him.

Lung-Lung: (Brandishing weapon)What you doing here?!(Thinking)Ranma looks
incredibly strong.

Ranma: (Holding hands up)I'm not here to fight.

Ling-Ling: Then why you here?

Ranma: I'm here for the cure to my curse. I'm here to see the old ghoul.

(Something dawns on both girls, as if they suddenly remember he was
actually expected.)

Lung-Lung: She not here.

Ranma: W-what?

Ling-Ling: She not here. Can't you hear?

Ranma: Then were is she?

Ling-Ling: She in mountain training.

Ranma: Training?

Lung-Lung: Village elder been waiting for you to arrive. In meanwhile,
she been training.

Ranma: ..................

Ling-Ling: We remember what village elder tell us. However, she in
mountains now.

Ranma: Why? She has the nanichuan there?

Lung-Lung: Nanichuan? She have no nanichuan.

Ranma: What?!?

Ling-Ling: She wait for you to come so she can fight you.(Smirks)You in
trouble. She much much stronger than ever before.

Ranma: ..................

Marlena: What's going on here?

(Ranma laughs real loud, so loud that several of the occupants of nearby
homes wake up.)

Ranma: (Laughing)How come I'm not surprised? This is a typical thing the
old ghoul would pull.

(Several village members emerge from their homes, all of them female.
They notice three unfamiliar people. 'Outsiders' is the first thing that
passes their minds. They quickly disappear in to their homes and emerge,
weapons in hand.)

Sayuri: (Frightened)W-w-what's going on here?!

Marlena: <Chinese>I'm Marlena. I used to be a villager here over thirty
years ago. I have come for a visit. (Gestures)This is Sayuri. Her sister
is a village here.

(Several of the villagers show signs of recognition of Sayuri. None of
them recognize Marlena or Ranma, all of them having been born well after
Marlena had left.)

Marlena: Great! Just freaking great! I come to visit and I'm viewed as an
outsider.

Ranma: What's going to happen.

Marlena: (Smirking)What do you think?

Ranma: They're going to fight us?

Marlena: Seems like it.

Sayuri: F-f-fight? As in a battle?

Marlena: Don't worry. Several of them recognize you. Look, they're
telling the others that they've seen you before. You're okay.

Sayuri: What about you and Ranma?

Marlena: We're probably going to get in a fight.

Ranma: (Annoyed)I'm not here to fight.

Ling-Ling: It seem that not your choice.

Ranma: (Very angry).....................

Lung-Lung: We were given orders that if you ever come here, you are to
never leave again.

Ranma: ...............(Thinking)It's gotta be the old ghoul that told 'em
that. Oh, I get it. She used that cure as a ruse to trick me in to coming
here so they can keep me from ever leaving.(Begins to talk)Lettme guess,
the old ghoul wants everyone to fight me to wear me down so that it'll be
easier for her to fight me when I get to her?

Ling-Ling: How you know?

Ranma: I didn't but I know now.

Lung-Lung: (To Ling-Ling)Stupid.

Ranma: Are you sure the old ghoul doesn't have the nanichuan?

Ling-Ling: We sure.

Ranma: (Calming down)Fine, then I'm leaving.(Smirks)It doesn't really
matter anyway. Jusenkyo is right next to this village, I'll go there
instead.

(Ranma turns around to leave but it is clear everyone in the village had
now surrounded them.)

Ranma: ...................

Voice: Sayuri? Is that you?

(Ranma looks over to see a pretty looking woman runing from the
surrounding group, hugging Sayuri. The woman looks much like Sayuri
except with longer hair.)

Sayuri: Yes. It's me. I've missed you, Kisen.

Kisen: I missed you too. What brings you here? What's going on? Who are
these people?

Sayuri: They're my friends.

Kisen: <In chinese>This is my sister.(To Sayuri)Please, stand back. It
seems like whoever that guy is you're with, the entire village was asked
to fight him.

Marlena: (Pointing to self)What about me? I used to live here. I was just
visiting. Seems like I'm getting mixed up in this.

Kisen: <Chinese>Everyone, this woman says she is one of us...

Marlena: (Smirks)Save your breath. No one here was born before I left
this village and the ones that were were little kids so they sure don't
remember me. It seems like Ranma and I will be fighting.

(Sayuri is torn between what to do. She quickly breaks from her sister's
embrace and runs back to Ranma and Marlena's side.)

Ranma: Sayuri, don't worry. You're not a part of this. Go with your
sister.

Sayuri: But.

Ranma: (Sternly)Just go.

Syauri: Okay.

(Sayuri runs away and meets up with her sister where she bring her away
from Ranma and Marlena. The surrounding group part to let them pass
before closing in aftewards.)

Ranma: I'm sorry I got you dragged in to this.

Marlena: (Grinning)Don't worry about it. I may be a cook on a ship, but
I'm also an Amazon, and a damn good fighter too.

Ranma: Really?

Marlena: No need to worry about me. Just worry about
yourself.(Chuckles)I'm gonna have fun beating the tar outta my opponents.
I'm gonna have so much fun seeing them try and give me the 'kiss of
death' after I defeat 'em.

Ranma: (Smirking)I like your mentality.

Marlena: Same here. I like my mentality too.

Ranma: Heh.

Marlena: Ready?

Ranma: Yep.

Marlena: (Laughs)Let the fun beging.

Ranma: ................(Thinking)She's like the female version of Boon.

(Marlena takes the initiative, dashing toward the crowd and punching on
of the girls out and stealing her weapong, a bo staff, in the process.
The attack caused a chain reaction as the entire village closed in on
both Ranma and Marlena.)

Marlena: Let's see if you girls have what it takes to beat someone like
me.

(Marlena twirls her bo staff around and takes out a dozen girls in one
motion. Everyone swings their weapons at her, all of which are easily
deflected by well timed parries and countered which usually resulted in
the attacker getting knocked out.)

Marlena: (Laughs)If I can do this with a bo staff, which I haven't used
in over thirty years, imagine the damage I can do with a pot or rolling
pin, my weapons of choice.

(As Marlena fights, so does Ranma. However, Ranma goes about fighting in
a totally different approach. As a girl came in to attack, Ranma would
dodge and grab the weapon, whatever it was, and yanking it out of her
hands where he would break it with his bare hands. Even with weapons such
as swords, he broke the blade easily. Before long, Ranma managed to
disarm every single one of his attackers. A circle is formed around them
as all of Ranma's unarmed opponents wonder what to do. He even disarmed
Ling-Ling and Lung-Lung in the process.)

Ranma: (Smirks)Now that none of you girls have weapons, you're all
harmless.

Ling-Ling: Attack him!

Ranma: How? You ain't got no weapons.

(Ranma places his hands in his pocket as everyone

Ranma: (Smirks)Do you worst girls. (Thinking)Hit me with your barehands.
I've been hit by Boon many times. You can hit me with your hardest
attacks and I won't even care cause I know it wouldn't hurt when compared
to Boon's attacks.

(The surronding girls all rush Ranma, punching and kicking at him with
all their might. He continues to stand where he is, unbothered by the
attacks. The girls who tries hitting him in the head or face ends up
jerking their hands back in pain, feeling as if they punched a brick
wall. Because of his height, he stands on his toes and is able to look
over the sea of girls a short distance away where he sees Marlena happily
defeating off her own attackers.)

Ranma: You doing okay over there?

Ling-Ling: (Fuming)How dare you talking to someone while in battle!

Lung-Lung: For that, you pay!

(Ling-Ling and Lung-Lung both punch Ranma in the face. He doesn't even
bat an eye. Both girls end up pulling their hands back as pain shoot up
their arms.)

Marlena: (Notices Ranma standing)Ranma, what are you doing?(Dodges)

Ranma: (To Marlena)I'm just standing here so I don't accidentally defeat
any of these girls.

Marlena: (Dodges)Why?(Attacks)

Ranma: Because of the Amazon law.

Marlena: Um, Amazon law can be nulled if you defeat(Dodges)the village
elder in one-on-one battle. It also only applies to the(Attacks)first
girl that is defeated by you.

Ranma: Really?

Marlena: Yeah.

Ranma: Well, it doesn't really matter. I don't really want to fight 'em.
It's not right for guys to hit girls.

Marlena: So, turn yourself in to a girl and then hit them.

Ranma: (Smirks)I've thought about that. However, I figure since you're
having so much fun, perhaps you can take care of them for me.

Marlena: Really?(Dodges)You mean it?

Ranma: Sure.

Marlena: Thanks. I'll be there in a sec.(Attacks)Lettme finish some
business I have over here.

Ranma: Okay.

(Ranma continues to stand there, getting the beating of his lifetime.
However, they have basically no effect. He continues to stand there for a
couple of minutes.)

Ranma: (Thinking)Man, they just keep attacking. Haven't they realized it
doesn't hurt me? Their punches and kicks are weak.(Speat to Marlena)Hey,
y'know what I just noticed?

Marlena: What?(Attacks)

Ranma: It seems like Amazon girls aren't all that good in fighting with
their hands. It seems like they need weapons to be any good.

Marlena: Um, (Dodges)actually, Amazon girls are really good hand-to-hand
fighters, probably better at hand-to-hand than with weapons.

Ranma: (Surprised)R-really?

Marlena: (Smirking)I think it's because you took so many hits from Boon
that you're used to getting hit hard. And since he hits that hard,
everything pales in comparison.

Ranma: Hm, that's what I figure.

(Ranma's eyes widen when one of his attackers, instead of attacking him,
attempts to khiss him on his lips. Since she realized that she can't
defeat Ranma, she had come to the conclusion that he is stronger than her
and would easily be able to defeat her. Therefore, he was worthy husband
material. Ranma quickly pushes the girl off before she had managed to
plant her lips on Ranma's lips.)

Ranma: W-w-what the hell was that!?!

Marlena: (Smirking)I think she realized you're worthy husband material,
even though you didn't defeat her.

Ranma: .....................

Marlena: Tellme, Ranma, do you always get in to these situations?

Ranma: Not intentionally!!

(Several girls try to kiss him. He pushes them off.)

Ranma: Help me!!

(Marlena knocks out the last of her opponents. She turns toward Ranma as
he is trying to fight off the love-struck girls. She rests the splintered
and battle-worn bo staff over her shoulders, her arms resting on the
staff.)

Marlena: (Laughs)I think I'll just watch for a minute. I just wanna see
what you do.

Ranma: T-this isn't funny.

Marlena: Why dontcha just cover your mouth with your hand?

Ranma: Oh. That sounds like a good idea.

(Ranma covers his mouth with both hands. The girls continue to try and
steal a kiss, kissing his hands as they cover his lips.)

Marlena: All right. Enough. Seeing this is making me becoming extremely
embarrassed to be considered an Amazon.

(Marlena walks over and starts swinging her bo staff around, knocking out
girls left and right. Pretty soon, the girls surrounding noticed a more
immediate threat and started attacking Marlena. Marlena easily dispatches
off all of them in not time. Before long, Ranma and Marlena were standing
in the middle of a surrounding group of around a hundred unconscious
girls. A short distance away was Kesin and Sayuri, both of whom had
watched everything.)

Ranma: (Relieved)Thanks.

(Ranma looks around.)

Ranma: Man, that's a lot of unconscious girls.

Marlena: Thanks for letting me have all the fun.

Ranma: Um, no problem.

Sayuri: I-incredible! I-I've never seen something like that before.

Ranma: Thanks.

Sayuri: Not you. I mean Marlena.

Ranma: ..................

Marlena: (Smiles)Just because you know me as a cook for a ship, that
doesn't mean I don't know other things besides cooking.

Sayuri: It was incredible.

Ranma: Man, I kind feel bad it ended up like that.

Marlena: (Laughs)Not me. Serves 'em right for believing I'm an outsider.

Sayuri: So, w-what do you plan on doing?

Ranma: I'm gonna head over to Jusenkyo and find a cure to my curse.

Kisen: What's your cursed form?

Ranma: Kisen, right?

Kisen: Yes.

Ranma: Good, I only heard Sayuri say your name once and it sounded like
that. I'm glad I got it right. I'm Ranma.

Kisen: It's nice meeting you.

Marlena: I'm Marlena.

Kisen: It's nice meeting you too.

Ranma: Anyway, the answer to your question is that I turn in to a girl.

Kisen: Oh, that's not that bad.

Ranma: That doesn't seem to surprise you.(Thinking)Man, and I thought Mr.
Hyusa took it well. But then again, she doesn't really know me.

Kisen: Well, if you're looking for the nanichuan, I know where it is.

Ranma: Y-you do?

Kisen: Yes. Even though you're bascially an outsider and we're not
supposed to help outsiders, I used to be an outsider as well so I know
how it's like. Besides, since you're a friend of Sayuri here, then I have
no problem with helping out.

Ranma: T-thanks.

Kisen: Follow me.

(Ranma and Marlena and Sayuri follow Kisen.)

Ranma: Marlena, I have a question.

Marlena: What is it?

Ranma: I heard you mention that Amazon law can be nulled if you defeat
the village elder, the old ghoul, in one-on-one battle.

Marlena: What about it?

Ranma: It only applies to one-on-one battles?

Marlena: Yes.

Ranma: What about if there was outside interference that led to her
defeat?

Marlena: Doesn't count. Only in true one-on-one battle. Why?

Ranma: (Smirking)Just curious. That's all.(Thinking)So that's why she
pulled this trick on me, because she still doesn't consider Shampoo's
engagment to me nulled, because I had help in defeating her.

Marlena: There's gotta be a reason why you're asking this? Don't tell me
that you defeated someone from this village before?

Ranma: Yep.

Marlena: ....................(Laughs)You really know how to get in to 'em
situations, huh?

Ranma: It was an accident. I didn't mean to accidentaly defeat her.

Marlena: What's the girl's name?

Ranma: Shampoo.

Marlena: Never heard of her.

Ranma: Well, she was born after you had left.

Marlena: Ah.

Ranma: I had defeated the old ghoul in battle to null the engagement to
her, but I guess it was never real. That's cause I got help in defeating
her.

Marlena: If you had help, then the engagement is still on. It has to be
one-on-one.(Smirks)I get it. You're gonna fight her after this, huh?

Ranma: Yeah, seem most likely.

Marlena: That's be the prudent choice. If you don't, it'd make your
relationship with Shori very complicated. She might show up and try and
do something to her.

Ranma: .....................

Marlena: Best to nip this in the bud while you can.

Ranma: Oh I will. I will.

Kisen: We're here.

(Ranma looks around. He had been to occupied talking to Marlena that he
hadn't noticed entering Jusenkyo. He notices thousands of springs with
bamboo poles sticking out to them. The thousands of springs stretched
forward and outward for as far as the eye could see.)

Ranma: J-Jusenkyo. I-I'm actually in Jusenkyo.

Kisen: (Gestures)Here's the spring you're looking for.

(Ranma looks down at a non-descript spring that had a bamboo pole
sticking out of it.)

Ranma: This is the nanichuan?

Kisen: Yes.

(Without saying another word, Ranma jumps in. When he resurfaces, he is
soaking wet through and through.)

Marlena: Oh my god!!!

Ranma: What?!

Marlena: You're a goat!!!

Ranma: What?!?!?

Marlena: (Laughs)I'm just joking.

Ranma: ..................

Marlena: Sorry. I didn't want to see you start crying tears of joy or
whatever so I decided to ruin it for my own selfish reasons.

Ranma: ..................

Marlena: Well, it seems like you're cured.

(Ranma looks toward a pond. He looks at his reflection and sees his male
form looking back at him. He looks down at his chest and notices that
there are no breasts pressing against the wet shirt he is wearing.)

Ranma: I-I'm......I'm cured.......

Marlena: (Smiles)How long were you cursed?

Ranma: Years.

Marlena: What?! For years?! Holy smoke!! I thought you were only cursed
or a couple of weeks, a month at most!

Ranma: No. I was cursed a long time ago. I learned to live with it
though...but still...

Marlena: If you've been cursed for so long, you should jumping with glee
or something like that now that you're cured.

Ranma: .......I-I think I'm a state of shock......I've gotten so used to
the curse....like it was always there, a part of my life....but now that
I see that I'm cured....everything seems surreal...

(Ranma falls to his knees, tears tricking from his eyes. He raises his
arms up in to the air, hands clenched, muscles of his entire body
becoming taut.)

Ranma: (Crying tears of happiness)I-I'm cured! I'm finally cured!

Marlena: (To Kisen and Sayuri)C'mon, let's leave him alone.

Sayuri: Alone? How come?

Marlena: Let him enjoy being cured by himself. His mind ain't all there
right now. He's probably going to do something really stupid...

(Marlena smirks as she notices Ranma taking off his shirt. He looks down
at his chest. Body is still wet but there are no indication of breasts.)

Marlena: We better get outta here before he takes off the rest of his
clothes....to make sure, without a shadow of a doubt, that he's cured.

Sayuri: .................

Ranma: (Smiles)Don't worry, I'm not going to do that.

Marlena: Oh. Okay.

Ranma: I'm so happy right now you wouldn't believe. Six hours ago, the
girl I love but thought hated me told me she loves me. And now, I've been
cured of my curses.

Sayuri: Think of how happy you'll be if Shori says yes when you propose.

Ranma: If she does, I'll be the happiest guy in the world.

Sayuri: (Smirks)While, over the span of around twelve hours, you'll be
both the luckiest and the happiest guy in the world.

Ranma: Yeah.

(Ranma puts his shirt back on, loving the fact that its wet and that he
is wet yet still in his true form.)

Ranma: Kisen, do you happen to have a flask or something I can use?

Kisen: Yes, back at my place. Why?

Ranma: Well, I'm not the only one cursed. I figure I can bottle this
stuff up and bring some back to them. Is that possible?

Kisen: Sure, I don't see why not. You want me to get one for you?

Ranma: Actually, you happen to have two of 'em?(Thinking)Ryoga and
Mousse'll owe me big for this.

Kisen: Okay.(Turns around to leave)

Sayuri: Wait, lettme come with you. I've got some stuff I need to tell
you.

Kisen: Okay.

(Together, the two sisters head off back toward the village, leaving
Ranma and Marlena alone.)

Marlena: You must be awefully happy now.

Ranma: (Smiling)You have no idea.

Marlena: How come you never bothered to do this before? Why'd you wait so
long to cure yourself?

Ranma: .....................

Marlena: Well?

Ranma: Um, actually, I really don't know.(Thinking)Shampoo knows her way
to Joketsuzoku....so why didn't I ever do this before?

Marlena: Whatever the case, I'm happy for you.

Ranma: Thank you.

Marlena: So what are your plans now? You plan on fighting the village
elder?

Ranma: The old ghoul? Yeah, I do. My task here still isn't over. My main
goal in coming here was to be cured and get Sayuri here safely. However,
it seems like I have some unfinished business I need to attend to, and
that is nulling my engagment to Shampoo.

Marlena: The Amazon girl you accidentally defeated?

Ranma: Yes.

Marlena: Don't let me stop you. However, I'd like to talk to her first,
the village elder.

Ranma: Um, okay. What for?

Marlena: I am visiting. Just wanted to say hi.

Ranma: (Grins)And perhaps tell her that you had planned your accidental
lose to Boon so that you can use the Amazon law to you advantage and get
outta this village?

Marlena: (Laughs)Actually, that never crossed my mind.

Ranma: Seeing the shock on the old ghoul's face would be worth it.

Marlena: Nah. I won't tell her.

Ranma: Why not?

Marlena: You're the one that dislike her for whatever reasons that is
your own. Me, I have nothing against her. I just didn't care for Amazon
tradition and living the ways of an Amazon. That's all. In a way, I kinda
owe her since she taught me a lot of the martial arts I was able to do
just before.

Ranma: Oh. I guess you have a point.

Marlena: Of course. Like I said, I have no animosity toward her so I
never came here with intent of malice. I'm just visiting. That's all.

Ranma: She probably remembers Boon, right? What if she asks if you two
are married yet?

Marlena: (Shrugs)I'll just lie.(Smiles)No harm being done. I doubt I'll
ever be back here ever again so she'll never know.

Ranma: Okay.

Marlena: Actually, I have a plan.

Ranma: What's that?

Marlena: (Smirks)Y'know, a scheme, a plot, a ploy.

Ranma: I know what that is. I mean what's the plan?

Marlena: (Laughs)Ranma, you're so easy to pick on.

Ranma: ..................

Marlena: Anyway, I think we should split up in meeting the village elder.

Ranma: Oh?

Marlena: I've got a good feeling that you're gonna defeat her, which'll
null your engagement to this Shampoo girl. After you defeat her, she'll
feel really bad that she lost. However, I can show up a short bit later
and just say hi. I can tell her how I'm doing and tell her how I'm doing
well. It'll make her happy knowing that I'm fine, which can help make her
cope with your fight against her just before I showed up.

Ranma: Ah. That sound like a really good idea.

Marlena: I think so too.

(Kisen and Sayuri return, each of them carrying a small jug. It looked
similar to those old sake bottle some people have been known to carry
wrapped around their waist in ancient Japan. They are in the middle of
their conversation.)

Kisen: ......................

Sayuri: He's sick. I don't know how much time he has left. He really does
love you. I think you should see him.

Kisen: The whole reason why I came here is to leave the life I had back
at Japan.

Sayuri: So what you're saying is that you care not one bit about him?

Kisen: No. I do care about him.

Sayuri: Then you should go see him. You'll regret it if you don't. That's
all I have to say.

Kisen: ...........and exactly how would I get back to Japan?

Ranma: Is there a problem here?

Kisen: ......................

Sayuri: (Softly)My sister seems to be interested in going back to Japan
to see the man who I mentioned about. You know, the guy that's in bad
health.

Ranma: Oh I remember. She left him and fled here.

Sayuri: Yes, but for the wrong reasons she fled. He was good to her. She
had some kind of feelings for her. I know. Can you try and help?

Ranma: How?

Sayuri: ................

Ranma: (Gets an idea)I know. I can call Shori up. Maybe her dad can help
out. Shori mentioend about how they flew over here right away so I assume
they have a private jet. Maybe one extra passenger is no problem.

Sayuri: Really? You think that'll work?

Ranma: Doesn't hurt to try. Lettme call him.

(Ranma reaches in to his pocket and pulls out the cell phone.)

Ranma: ..................

Sayuri: What's wrong?

Ranma: I just realized that the cell phone was in my pocket when I jumped
in to the spring.

Sayuri: .................

(The scene changes on to Mr. Hyusa as he sits around Boon's hospital
room. He and Boon are awake. Akemi, Shori, and Reia are not around,
having been taken to a nearby hotel to get some sleep. Mr. Hyusa had
stayed behind, choosing to stay behind with Boon to talk about the good
old times.)

Boon: I felt really bad after I found out what I did. I thought that guy
had pickpocket me so I grabbed him and told me to give me back my wallet.
I get back to the ship and what do I see, my wallet in my bunk rack. When
I saw it, I immediately realize 'Oh my, I just mugged someone by
accident'.

Mr. Hyusa: What'd you do with it? You give it back?

Boon: (Laughs)Of course I did. However, I had trouble getting it back to
him cause when he saw me again, he ran away, thinking I was there to mug
him again.

(Boon and Mr. Hyusa laugh again. As they laugh, the Mr. Hyusa's cell
phone rings. Mr. Hyusa quickly answers it, figuring it was Shori calling
him from the hotel to ask that she and Reia and Akemi be picked up. He
looks at his watch. It's just shortly aftter dawn.)

Mr. Hyusa: You're up early.

(Mr. Hyusa is surprised to find out that it isn't who he was expected
when he recognizes the other line.)

Ranma: I never went to sleep. Man, I suprised this phone still works.

Mr. Hyusa: Ranma, I didn't know it was you. What do you mean by the phone
still works?

Ranma: Um, I got wet and the phone got completely soaked. However, it
still works.

Mr. Hyusa: Of course. I bought this phone for Shori. It's
state-of-the-art. It's completely waterproof. Heck, you can go swimming
with it in your pocket if you want.

Ranma: What the heck would someone need a waterproof phone? Who's gonna
make a phone call while swimming?

Mr. Hyusa: You've got a point.

Ranma: I guess that's besides the point.

Mr. Hyusa: How are you?

Ranma: I'm fine.

Mr. Hyusa: Where are you? Are you at Joketsuzoku?

Ranma: Yeah.

Mr. Hyusa: Have you gotten cured?

Ranma: Yeah.

Mr. Hyusa: Are you going to be headed back? At this rate, you'd be back
in time for lunch. We can all get some food before we head for the jet
back to Japan.

Ranma: Um, I don't know if I'll be back before then.

Mr. Hyusa: Oh? What seems to be the problem?

Ranma: I found out that I have something else I need to do before I'm on
my way.

Mr. Hyusa: Something else?

Ranma: Yeah. I hafta go defeat the old ghoul.

Mr. Hyusa: Old ghoul? You're going monster hunting or something?

Boon: (Overhearing conversation)Old ghoul? What about her?

Mr. Hyusa: Um, Keirojin....I mean Boon....he's asking what about her?(To
Boon)Who's this?

Boon: That's the village elder that messed up my knee.

Mr. Hyusa: Ranma says he plans on fighting her.

Boon: Really?(Holding out hand)Here, gimme the phone.

(Mr. Hyusa give Boon the phone.)

Boon: Hello?

Ranma: (Recgonizing voice)Hey.

Boon: You're gonna fight Cologne?

Ranma: Yeah.

Boon: Well, if you are, can you do me a favor?

Ranma: Sure, what is it?

Boon: Kill her.

Ranma: ....................

Boon: Okay, how about you hurt her real good.

Ranma: Um, okay.

Boon: She was the one that gave me my bum leg remember. Give her a good
thrashing.

Ranma: Okay. I'll do that.

Boon: So, when you coming back?

Ranma: After I defeat her. I'm gonna go challenge her right after I hang
up.

Boon: Okay. Then I'm hanging up now so you can go fight her right away.
Good luck.

Ranma: Wait-

(Boon hangs up the phone.)

Mr. Hyusa: So, what did he say? I heard you say Cologne, is this the same
Cologne I've heard about?

Boon: Yeah.

(The phone rings again. Boon looks at it. He hands it to Mr. Hyusa whom
promptly answers.)

Mr. Hyusa: Hello?

Ranma: It's me again.

Mr. Hyusa: Something the matter.

Ranma: Boon hung up before I got a chance to ask you something. This is
the main reason why I'm calling.

Mr. Hyusa: What is it?

Ranma: Sayuri's sister would like to go to Japan. The story complicated
on why she wants to go but I figured I'd ask if-

Mr. Hyusa: Sure. She can come back with us on my private jet.

Ranma: Really?

Mr. Hyusa: Sure.

Ranma: Thanks. I really appreciate it.

Mr. Hyusa: Not a problem.

Ranma: All right. Now that this problem is solved, I'm off to fight the
old ghoul.

Mr. Hyusa: Good luck.

(The scene changes on to Ranma where we see him hang up the cell phone.
He turns toward Sayuri and Kisen.)

Ranma: Good news. Shori's dad is willing to have yet another passenger.

Sayuri: That's great!(To Kisen)Sis, aren't you happy? Now you've got a
ride back to Japan. You'd be there in no time.

Ranma: (Smirks)Now that that's solved, all I have left is beating the old
ghoul.

Kisen: You mean the village elder?

Ranma: (Laughs)I like that. I say old ghoul and you make the association
with Cologne.

Kisen: Actually, it's because I heard you mention her name.

Ranma: Oh.

Kisen: You plan on challenging her?

Ranma: Yes.

Kisen: You must be a very good fighter. She is very very strong and
powerful.

Ranma: (Grins)So am I.

Marlena: (Sadly)Man, I'd really like to watch the fight.

Ranma: Why dontcha? Just don't take part in it so it'll be strictly
one-on-one.

Marlena: Because she'll be able to sense me watching even if I'm out of
view. It could be a distraction to her and therefore not a true fight.

Ranma: Oh. Hm, I guess that's a good idea.

Kisen: If you're looking to find her, she's up in the mountains. She's
been training there a lot recently.

Ranma: Okay. Exactly where can I find her in the mountains?

Kisen: Just head up the road at the other side of the village. Head up to
the top. It'll take you right there.

Ranma: Thanks.

Marlena: Go on. We'll fill the containers with the nanichuan and wait for
you by the edge of the village. When you come back, I'll go and talk to
her. When I get back, we'll all leave.

Ranma: Okay.

(We watch as Ranma heads off, intending for the fight of his life as well
as feeling excited about it.)

Kisen: So that's Ranma.

Sayuri: You know about him?

Kisen: The village elder mentioned about him. That's why everyone
attacked him.

Marlena: To wear him down before he reaches her?

Kisen: That too.

Marlena: Too?

Kisen: It also happens that everyone here heard about how strong Ranma is
and wants him to be her husband. It was a good move on Ranma's part to
not attack.

Marlena: Y-you're kidding me, r-right?

Kisen: No. The village elder told everyone that if he defeats any one of
them, they shall marry him.

Marlena: .....................

Kisen: Of course, since he didn't attack, that's very very good move on
his part.

Marlena: But the law only applies to the first girl that is defeated.

Kisen: The village elder changed it.

Marlena: .....................

(The scene switched on to Ranma as he races his way along the dirt trail
that leads up the mountain side. The incline is very steep and intense
but it doesn't seem to bother Ranma one bit, his legs used to workouts
far harder than this.)

Ranma: Gee, I wonder if this is the same trail that Ryoga took that
fateful day when he go cursed when was knocked off a cliff. This probably
leads to that cliff.

(Within no time, he reaches the end of the trail which leads to a plateau
at the top of the mountain. It is a wide open area with only a few trees
around. The place looks like an ideal battle ground. Ranam spots Cologne
on the other end of the clearing. She is standing very still on her
staff, seemingly meditating. Ranma walks toward her.)

Cologne: Ranma, you're finally here.

Ranma: I came here to defeat you.

Cologne: Oh? Where's Shampoo?

Ranma: She's not here. I came here by myself.

Cologne: .................(Thinking)What happened to her? The trip here
was her chance for her and Ranma to get back together.

Ranma: As you can tell, she's not here. I don't need her.

Cologne: I assume you came here for the cure.(Smirks)

Ranma: Yeah.

Cologne: Well, I have some news for you-

Ranma: I'm already cured.

Cologne: W-what?!

Ranma: I'm not that stupid. When I showed up, I found out about you
didn't have my cure. What did I do? I simply headed over to Jusenkyo
right next to the village and cured myself.

Cologne: (Curious)And how did you find it?(Thinking)There are thousands
of springs. How was he able to find it? He must have just showed up for
me not to have known of his whereabouts. If he was searching for the
nanichuan, someone would have been able to tell me about him being
here.....wait, did he defeat everyone and cured himself immediately
afterwards before anyone woke up?

Ranma: Even though I'm an 'outsider' and the villagers is expected to
never help outsiders, you never anticipated that I would find someone
willing to help me out in finding the spring right away.

Cologn: Who? Who helped you?(Thinking)I will deal with her later.

Ranma: (Smirks)Defeat me and I'll tell you.

Cologne: (Smiles)Well, that won't be hard to do. Unlike last time where
you had others taking part in the fight, there's no one around. You got
lucky defeating me that time because you took advantage of the fact that
I was distracted and seized the opportunity. However, this time, it's a-

Ranma: (Smiles)One-on-one battle. This is how I want it.

Cologne: I'm going to show you just how futile it is to beat me in
one-on-one fights.

Ranma: I want it this way. I found out that if I defeat you in a
one-on-one battle, my engagement to Shampoo is nulled.

Cologne: You're smart. When did you find that out, that it has to be
one-on-one for it to be nulled?

Ranma: (Smirks)Defeat me and I'll tell you.

Cologne: Your tricks won't work on me. You're trying to get me angry by
not telling me.

Ranma: No. I'm not.

Cologne: Very well, if I defeat you, you'll tell me who betrayed the
village's law.

Ranma: When I defeat you, you null my engagement to Shampoo and break any
ties whatsoever with me.

Cologne: You didn't lettme finish.

Ranma: What?

Cologne: If I defeat you, you will marry Shampoo.

Ranma: (Smirks)Fine, I'll accept. Do you accept my terms?

Cologne: Awefully confident are you?

Ranma: Perhaps.

Cologne: Fine, I accept.(Thinking)You're going to regret challenging me.
You're alone with no one helping you. Plus, I've been training since I
got back, in case there would end up being a battle like this.

Ranma: Ready?

Cologne: Ready.

(Cologne hops off her staff and assumes a defensive posture. Ranma also
assumes a defensive posture. Both combantants circle one another.)

Ranma: You haven't been the only one that's been training.

Cologne: Oh? You've been training as well.

Ranma: (Smirks)Yes, against opponents far more powerful than you'll ever
be.

Cologne: Who might that be?

Ranma: Defeat me and I'll tell you.

Cologne: Very well. Let's end this!

Ranma: (Sneering)That's just what I was thinking!

(Cologne and Ranma dash toward one another. Cologne swings her staff with
deadly force as Ranma throws out a wickedly powerful overhead punch.
Ranma is struck in the head first by the staff but brushes aside the
tingling of pain as he follows through with his punch. Cologne jumps out
of the way and Ranma's punch narrowly misses her and hits the ground. A
crater around five feet in diameter is formed from the impact as she hops
back away from him.)

Cologne: ................(Thinking)H-he just took my most powerful staff
attack!!

(Cologne looks at her staff and notices that the top end is missing. It
had broke in half when she hit Ranma.)

Cologne: ................

Ranma: Gotcha!!!

(Ranma dashes forward and punches toward Colonge. She brings the lower
part of her staff to block. Her eyes widen as Ranma's punch crushes her
attempted guard and hits her in the face. She is sent flying backwards,
crashing against one of the trees. She falls to the ground, breathing
heavily. Her vision had became blurry.)

Ranma: (Smirks)How's that you old ghoul?

Cologne: ..................(Thinking)What the hell's going on here?!
How'd he get so strong? If I hadn't trained myself to withstand blows
like that I would have been defeated for sure.

Ranma: You give up?

(Cologne gets up to her feet. She shakes the cobwebs from her head.)

Ranma: Having regrets about waging so much on the line on this one
battle? You got overconfident of your own abilities that it would be like
the same person you fought before you left Japan. Well, I'm not that
person. So, you give up?

Cologne: No.

Ranma: Have it your way!

(Ranma dashes toward Cologne, the ground behind him almost foling upward
from the sudden burst of leg strength. Ranma cockes his arm back, his
hand glowing green.)

Cologne: (Shooting arm toward sky)Hiryu Shoten Ha!!

(A massive whirwind erupts from the ground in front of her. Ranma is
caught in the blast and sent spiralling skayward. Cologne drops her arm,
breathing very heavily.)

Cologne: That was a worthy attempt Ranma, but you're still not good
enough to defeat me.

(The column of wind subside. Cologne smirks as she sees the tiny speck in
the air grow bigger and bigger as it comes plummeting toward the ground.)

Cologne: This battle is ended. You're not going to be able to walk way
from a fall from such a height.

(Cologne is totally caught off guard, her mouth going agape, as Ranma
lands on his feet. Having been caught twice in Boon's own Hiryu Shoten
Ha, he knew how to react accordingly.)

Cologne: W-what the!!

Ranma: (Grinning)Good night!

(Ranma punches forward at Cologne. His fist crashes in to her chest. She
is set flying backwards where she hits in to the tree, hitting the tree
with such for that it topples backwards. Clouds of dust form around the
area when the tree hits the ground.)

Ranma: (Smirks)Let's see you get up from that!

(After a minute the cloud of dust clears to reveal Cologne, lying
unconscious on top of the fallen tree. She had been totally and utterly
defeated.)

Ranma: (Smiles)It was nice knowing you. Have a nice life.

(Ranma turns around and walks away.)
