There's been some discussion regarding a comment I made about Malachite.

The resonse to the C&C in which I made said comment, however, was written 
somewhere between midnight and 330am and may not be to clear.

To wit: Malachite is gay. He sleeps with Zoicite and enjoys it.

However, before he was Malachite, he did meet a woman, fall in love, get 
married, and fathered a child because that was what he believed he was 
supposed to do. I don't have the statistics handy, nor do I know where to 
look for said stats, but it's my understanding that many gays and lesbians 
force themselves into hetrosexual roles because that is what they believe 
they are supposed to do. They live said roles for a time, sometimes until 
their children are grown up and moved away before deciding that they just 
can't "live a lie' anymore.

Micheal/Malachite was one of those. 'Course, he had some help in making his 
decision...

Put simply: He did in fact love Janice at one point and he does love his 
daughter. Furthermore, he remembers the realationship with Janice fondly. It 
was a good time.

I'd like to be able tell you more, but then I'll risk spoiling future 
chapters.

And where's the fun in that? =)
