This fic is nearing an end finally. It seems my prediction was correct,
that this fic would be finishing at around the 2 meg mark. There's
probably one or two more updates before it's finally concluded. To
anoyone who haven't read this fic, you can find the previous
parts/chapters/updates of it on my website.
http://www.anime.sobhrach.com/~jeffwong/

I'm sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes. I have yet to edit this.
What I have updated is just the rought draft. Once I'm finished with this
fic, I'll go back and edit it for mistakes.

<new stuff 8/15>

(Time passes. We are back on Ranma and Sayuri as they are travelling down
a dirt trail together. There are trees to either side of them. It is
getting late at night, nearing ten in the evening. Moonlight seems to
provide somewhat adequate lighting.)

Ranma: Let's call it day. We've been walking for around six hours
already.

Sayuri: (Tired)I agree.

(Ranma and walks off a short distance from the dirt trail. Sayuri follows
closely behind, a bit confused. After around five minutes of walking,
they come across a slight clearing.)

Sayuri: Where are we going? Why are we leaving the trail?

Ranma: (Smirks)You seem tired.

Sayuri: Of course, but that doesn't explain-

Ranma: We're going to set up camp. It's no good to set one out in the
middle of the road.

Sayuri: How come?

Ranma: Because there're people that travel the trails late at night, some
by by carriage and wagon. Being in the middle of the road'll block 'em.

Sayuri: Oh. I understand.

(Ranma proceed to set up the tent while Sayuri watches.)

Sayuri: Um, what should I do?

Ranma: Don't worry for now. I've got it.

Sayuri: How about I start cooking?

Ranma: What, you're hungry? We didn't eat too long ago.

Sayuri: I'm a bit hungry, yes. We ate around six hours ago so of curse
I'd be a bit hungry.

Ranma: Sure, if you wish to cook, I ain't complaining.(Smirks)

Sayuri: Okay.

(Sayuri heads over to Ranma's backpack and searches through it. After a
minute, she produces the portable stove and a can of food.)

Ranma: No need to use the stove.

Sayuri: No stove? Then how am I to cook?

Ranma: We can start a campfire. Much better that way. We only have so
much propane for the stove. It's best to save it, especially for times
like after a thunderstorm or such since wood'll be wet and campfires
can't really be started easily.

Sayuri: Okay. Um, I guess I'll go look for some firewood.

(Sayuri seems reluctant to leave Ranma's side. The moonlight trickling
through trees give the area a rather eerie feel.)

Ranma: Just wait up. I'll go collect some with you once I'm finished
pitching this tent.

Sayuri: (Relieved)O-okay.

(Sayuri watches as Ranma pitches the tent in no time. He then throws both
of their backpacks inside.)

Ranma: All right, let's go.

(Together, Ranma and Sayuri go searching for some wood that would be used
for a campfire. Ranma takes the chance to show her the size and kind of
wood that would be most useful for the campfire. Before long, they have
collected sufficient wood, Ranma collecting and carry around ten times
more than what Sayuri got.)

Ranma: (Looking off)Check it out.

Sayuri: Check what out?

(Ranma points toward a spot a quarter way up the mountain they had to
cross. There was a small spark coming from there, located a short
distance from the path that runs up the mountain.)

Ranma: (Pointing)You see that speck of light from there?

Sayuri: (Looking)Yes. I see it. What is it?

Ranma: That's a campfire. Seems like someone is about four miles ahead of
us on the same trail and had also set up a camp over there.

Sayuri: Oh.

Ranma: Y'see? That person set up came a short distance from the trail as
well.

Sayuri: I understand.

Ranma: Anyway, let's get started with making dinner.

Sayuri: Okay.

(Ranma reaches in to his backpack and produces a box of matches. He
grins.)

Ranma: Much easier using matches than trying to do it the hard way.

Sayuri: You mean starting a first using two sticks?

Ranma: Yep. Why make it harder on yourself? It's much faster and easier
this way.

(Sayuri watches as Ranma makes a small clearing on the ground and places
the firewood in a neat pile. He then takes a match out of the box and
strikes it, setting the match ablaze. He throws it in to the pile of
firewood which catches immediately.)

Ranma: Well, now we've got a fire going.

Sayuri: I'll start cooking.

Ranma: You need help?

Sayuri: (Smiles)No. I'm fine. This is where I'm good at.

Ranma: But we only have canned food.

Sayuri: Yes, but we also have seasoning. I can whip up some good flavors
if I have the right seasons, which I definitely have.

Ranma: Okay.

(Sayuri fetches the can of food. She checks through the backpack and
produces the pot. She searches through the backpack looking for one more
thing.)

Ranma: Whatcha looking for?

Sayuri: Where's the can opener?

Ranma: What, we didn't get one?

Sayuri: Seems we didn. I know I didn't have one in my cart.

Ranma: Damn, I didn't get one either.(Shrugs)No matter.

Sayuri: But how are we to open the can?

(Ranma reaches over and takes the can from Sayuri.)

Ranma: I can open this with my bare hands so that's no problem. What do
you want me to do? Squeeze out the contents in to the pot?

Sayuri: Um, okay. That'd be fine.

(Ranma pokes a hole on the top of the can and turns it upside down,
holding the can over the pot before giving it a gentle squeeze. The
contents are easily squeezed out of the can where it falls in to the
pot.)

Sayuri: (Shocked)Um, t-thank you.

Ranma: No prob.

(Ranma notices what the contents of the can. He doesn't look all that
excited.)

Ranma: Beans, huh?

Sayuri: (Smiles)Don't worry. I can make this taste delicious.

Ranma: Okay.

Sayuri: Trust me.

Ranma: I know. I trust you.

(Sayuri's blushing is unseen because of orangish light emanating from the
dancing campfire.)

(Meanwhile, around for miles from where Ranam and Sayuri are camping,
Marlena has set up camp for herself. It isn't much of a camp. There is no
tent up since Marlena didn't have a tent to begin with. She was sitting
on a rock, sitting around the campfire she made by hand. Cooking over the
campfire was the rabbit she had hunted.)

Marlena: Man, I haven't camped out under the stars in a while, far too
long ago. However, I don't have the proper equipment. I don't even have a
tent to shelter me in case of rain. I'll head back to town in the morning
and get the proper equpiment and be on my way again. Ranma's with Sayuri
so their pace won't be anywhere near as fast as mine.

(Marlena stands up to stretch. She had resigned herself to a hard night's
sleep, sleeping on nothing but the ground, most likely using a rock for a
pillow. As she stretches, she turns around and catches sight of a speck
of light down the mountain.)

Marlena: Well I'll be. Someone else is doing what I'm
doing.(Realize)Wait, that could be Ranma and Sayuir!

(Marlena quickly puts the campfire out, leaving the cooking food where it
was.)

Marlena: Don't wanna risk the fire spreading and causing a forest fire.

(Marlena quickly heads off toward the dirt trail. Once there, she quickly
heads in the direction of the campfire.)

(The scene changes on to Boon as he and Frog are keeping themselves
pretty well occupied talking to one another. The room suddenly became
silent as Boon turned his gaze toward the man that suddenly knocked on
the door, leaning against the doorjamb, a smile on his lips. It only took
a moment for Boon to realizes that it was his long time friend, a friend
he hadn't seen in over twenty years.)

Boon: Tsu, long time no see.

Mr. Hyusa: Likewise, Kei.

(Both guys regard each other, feeling a sensation of elation and
happiness. At first, Mr. Hyusa was surprised to see that the huge man in
the bed was the same guy he had travelled together with so long ago.
However, it only took a split second of looking at the man's eyes to
know, without a shadow of a doubt, that it was his long-time friend.)

Mr. Hyusa: It's been ages, how have you been?

Boon: Fine. And you?

Mr. Hyusa: I'm doing very well.

Boon: We've got so much to catch up.

Mr. Hyusa: Quite.

(Mr. Hyusa notices Frog standing at the foot of Boon's bed. He was
surprised that he hadn't noticed before. Perhaps it was because he was
just so happy to see his friend that he forgot about his surrounding.)

Mr. Hyusa: (To Frog)How do you do? I'm Tsuki.

Frog: I'm Fune, but everyone calls me Frog.

Mr. Hyusa: Fune? You must the man I talked to on the radio.

Frog: Yes, I was. Um, I guess I'll leave you two alone to talk.

Mr. Hyusa: It's nice meeting you.

Frog: Same here.(Smiles)It's finally nice being able to put a face to the
name that Boon, I mean Keirojin, here's been known to mention from time
to time.

Mr. Hyusa: (Smirks)Boon, huh? How'd you get that nickname?

Frog: (Notices three girls)Oh, hello.

Mr. Hyusa: (Laughs)I'm sorry, I completely forgot. Allow me to introduce
my daughter and her friends. Shori, Akemi, and Reia.

Frog: Nice meeting you.

Akemi: It's nice meeting you too.(Bows)

Reia: How do you do.(Bows)

Shori: Good evening.(Bows)

Frog: (Impressed)Ah, so well mannered. Well, I'll leave you guys be. Take
care.(Leaves)

Boon: (To Shori)So, you're Tsuki's daughter, huh?

Shori: (Meekly)Y-yes. I am.

(Boon sits upright. He pats the area of the bed right next to him.)

Boon: Have a seat. Lettme get a good look at you.

(Shori reluctantly does as she's told, sitting next to Boon. She feels a
bit scared. The man is gigantic. She sits next to him and faces him as
Boon regards her critically.)

Boon: (Smiles)My, you're cute as a button.

Shori: T-thank you, sir.

Boon: No need to be afraid. Call me Boon.

Shori: Boon?

Boon: Nickname. Long story.

Shori: O-okay.

Boon: (Laughs)She's a pretty young thing, Tsu. Luckily she didn't get her
looks from her father's side.

Mr. Hyusa: (Narrows eyes)..................

(Boon and Mr. Hyusa break out laughing.)

Akemi: (Softly to Reia)Wow, they haven't seen each other in twenty years?

Reia: Yes. They sure don't act it.

(Boon puts a gigantic hand on Shori's head and messes it up.)

Boon: It's nice meeting you, Shori. How about you do me and your old man
a fav and go fetch us some grub?

Shori: G-grub?

Boon: (Grins)Yeah. Food. I know you feel awkward so I'm sending you out
to get us something so you three girls can make fun of us old guys as
well as allow you to be with your friends.(Laughs)

Shori: O-okay.

(Shori quickly leaves along with her friends.)

Mr. Hyusa: First off, the reason why I'm here...

Boon: Bad news...

Mr. Hyusa: ....................

Boon: It's very likely that Ranma had left this city already.

Mr. Hyusa: ....................

Boon: However, Marlena went after them.

Mr. Hyusa: Them?

Boon: Ranma and Sayuri had left together.

Mr. Hyusa: ....................

Boon: They're just friends though so I don't think there's anything to
worry about.

Mr. Hyusa: Do you think she'll find them?

Boon: Most likely. They were headed for Joketsuzoku. Sayuri knows where
it is so there's a good chance Marlena'll be able to find 'em on the way
since she knows how to get there as well.

Mr. Hyusa: (Relieved)That's good to hear.

Boon: The entire crew of my ship as well as Marlena are out looking for
him. He may not be here, but he'll be found by Marlena if he's on his way
to Joketsuzoku like expected.

Mr. Hyusa: Hopefully.

Boon: All we can do is wait.

Mr. Hyusa: (Sighs)You have no idea how hard it is. That's what I feel
like we've been doing all this time since Ranma left Japan.

Boon: He only left about a week ago.

Mr. Hyusa: I know. It doesn't bother me that much. It's Shori. To a girl,
waiting a week is like waiting a year.

Boon: (Laughs)Oh. I didn't think of it as that.

Mr. Hyusa: Well, I just hope things turn out for the best. I guess in the
meanwhile, all we can do is sit around and wait.

Boon: Don't worry, my crew is very competent. If Ranma is still in this
town, he'll be found. If he's headed for where we're expected, then
Marlena'll find him.

Mr. Hyusa: What if he decides not go directly to Joketsuzoku?

Boon: (Smirkes)Then we're outta luck.

Mr. Hyusa: .....................

Boon: Lighten up. Things'll work out. I'm sure of it.

Mr. Hyusa: You're right.(Laughs)It's funny that you're telling me this.
It used to be the other way around.

Boon: (Laughs)Life on the sea can change a guy.

Mr. Hyusa: Perhaps.

Boon: So, let's catch up on old times. What have you been up to these
past twenty years?

Mr. Hyusa: I'm now the CEO of Aido Airlines.

Boon: (Whistles)Really? Not bad. Not bad at all.

Mr. Hyusa: It's not all out it's cracked up to be.

Boon: I wouldn't be surprised.

Mr. Hyusa: I plan on retiring really soon to get back in to what I've
always loved-

Boon: Martial arts?

Mr. Hyusa: Yep.

Boon: I figured so. We're much alike. I myself would hate a job like
that. Must be stressful.

Mr. Hyusa: From time to time, yes. The pay is good though.

Boon: So?

Mr. Hyusa: (Smiles)That's what I expect to hear from you. Have you
married yet? Any kids?

Boon: No and no.

Mr. Hyusa: Well, when you do, you'll change a bit. Money does become a
bit of an issue when you've got someone else to take care of.

Boon: Of course. I'm not looking down on you for selling out or nothing-

Mr. Hyusa: (Surprised)Selling out?!

Boon: I'm just joking. Seems like working in the business world made you
a bit hard-assed. It seems like you became what I used to be when we were
travelling.

Mr. Hyusa: Seems like we switched roles, huh?

(Boon and Mr. Hyusa laugh again.)

Boon: Those were the good old days, wandering around the world and
training.

Mr. Hyusa: Of course.

Boon: Of course, it isn't all it's cracked up to be, especially when we
were worrying about when our next meal'll be.

Mr. Hyusa: Yeah.

Boon: (Laughs)Man, how many times did we go to a restaurant, eat our
fill, and just jet without paying?

Mr. Hyusa: More than I can count. Heck, I think we got so used to it, we
did that for a couple of months straight, even during times when we could
do it.

Boon: Yeah. Probably because it pissed off Marlena so much. 'Oh my god, I
can't believe we're doing this! This is so bad!'.(Laughs)

Mr. Hyusa: I think we did it out of spite.(Laughs)

Boon: Yeah, until Marlena started getting use to it. Remember those times
when we were searching for the most expensive restaurant to eat at,
knowing that we were skipping out on the bill?

Mr. Hyusa: To think, Marlena was the one choosing them.

(Both guys laugh.)

Mr. Hyusa: I have a question that's I've been bothering to ask you since
I showed up.

Boon: What is it?

Mr. Hyusa: What the hell happened to you?! You're around three hundred
and fifty pounds heavier and a foot taller than what I last remembered.

Boon: (Grins)That's a secret.

Mr. Hyusa: So? When the heck did we ever keep secrets from one another?

Boon: True.

Mr. Hyusa: So tell me, what caused you to get so big?

Boon: You won't believe it if I told you.

Mr. Hyusa: Try me.

Boon: I stretched more often, especially when I was stretching my arms in
to the air. It made me taller. From there, I simply ate more.

Mr. Hyusa: You're right, I don't believe you.

(The scene changes on to Ranma as he and Sayuri are eating the food she
had prepared.)

Ranma: Wow, this is delicious.

Sayuri: Thank you.

Ranma: It tastes like some wickedly good gourmet stuff.

Sayuri: Um, I'll take that as a compliment.

Ranma: You don't even taste the beans. Heck, this tastes like some exotic
dish. It's amazing.

Sayuri: Thanks. I'm glad you like it.

(Ranma senses a presence behind him, coming from the shadows of the
trees. He can't see what it is but he knows there is something there.)

Ranma: (Getting up)...................

Sayuri: Something the matter?

Ranma: Please, just be quiet for a moment. Something or someone is
watching us. I can sense it.

Sayuri: (Very frightened).....................

Ranma: (Shouting out)Who's there? Show yourself!

(Sayuri yelps in surprise and fear as she hears the rustling of nearby
foliage. Something definitely was there, whatever it was. To both Ranma
and Sayuri's surprise, a figure emerges. The flicker of the campfire
casting against the figure shows that it is Marlena.)

Marlena: Very good, Ranma. You actually realized I was watching
you.(Thinking)Either this kid's really that good or I got rusty with my
stealth skills.

Ranma: (Shocked)M-Marlena, w-what are you doing here?

Marlena: ....................(Points)

(Ranma looks down and notices Sayuri hugging him closely, her head buried
against his chest.)

Ranma: Um, Sayuri, it's all right.

(Sayuri takes a quick peek and recognizes who it is. She looks up sees
Ranma looking down right at her. She notices what she is doing and
blushes as she quickly lets go and takes a step back.)

Ranma: (Clears throat)Anyway, Marlena, what're you doing here?

Marlena: I came to fetch you.

Ranma: Fetch me? For what?

Marlena: I'm here to get you and bring you back to the hospital-

Ranma: (Very concerned)H-hospital? Is Boon all right?

Marlena: Yeah, he's fine. Y'didn't lettme finish.

Ranma: .....................

Marlena: I came to bring you to the hospital. There's something very
important that Boon wants to tell you.

Ranma: (Confused)What is it?

Marlena: It concerns a girl named Shori.

Ranma: S-Shori? R-really?

Marlena: First, lettme get this out and in the clear, in case some freak
of nature separates us and I can't tell you otherwise. The girl you left,
or thought that hated you, or whatever the reason is behind you leaving
Japan.....she loves you.

Ranma: S-s-she does?

Marlena: Yes. Boon told me the whole story. You left before he had a
chance to tell you but she has been looking for you for the past week. It
seems like there was a huge misunderstanding that led you to believe that
she hated you, which she doesn't. She loves you and still loves you.

Ranma: (Tears forming)A-are you serious?

Marlena: I'm just relaying the message. However, I'm here to drag you
back to the hospital so whatever reasons the led to your leaving Japan
can be cleared up. It was all a misunderstanding. Shori doesn't hate you.
She has been searching for you to tell you that and tell you that she
loves you.

Ranma: (About to start crying)I don't know how you know this, but
p-please, don't tell me this is a joke....

Marlena: No joke. Now, are you going to come with me or-

Ranma: Yes! I'm coming with you! I'm coming back!

Sayuri: W-what about Joketsuzoku.

Ranma: I don't care about my curse! I care more about Shori!

Sayuri: W-w-what about me? Am I to stay here?

Marlena: Of course not. You're coming back.

Sayuri: Oh. Okay.

Ranma: S-shori still loves me?

Marlena: Seems so.

Ranma: Did she tell you that?

Marlena: No. However, Shori's dad contact Boon and told him. He relayed
it to me. I'm relaying it to you. Boon would have told you himself but
the heart attack put him outta commission.

Ranma: ....................

Marlena: Coming back, you'll hear the whole story.

Ranma: (Crying tears of joy)Oh, I'm going back with you! Nothing's going
to stop me!

(Without saying another word, Ranma throws dirt on the campfire to put it
out.)

Ranma: Let's go.

Sayuri: W-what about our equpiment.

Ranma: I don't care about it. All I care about is getting back as soon as
possible.

Sayuri: ...................

Ranma: Wait, I forgot, you bought a buncha this stuff with your own
money.

(Ranma quickly runs over and packs up all the equpiment that is Sayuri's
in to her backpack. He throws it over his back.)

Sayuri: What about your stuff?

Ranma: Leave it.

Sayuri: But it cost a lot of money...

Ranma: Just leave it. It's trivial. I don't care what happens to it.

Sayuri: ..................

Ranma: Let's go.

(Ranma dashes off at lightning speeds, leaving behind Marlena and
Sayuri.)

Marlena: (Calling out)Hey, Ranma, aren't you forgetting something?
Sayuri's with us. She ain't quite used to running like we are.

Ranma: (Reappearing)Right. I forgot. Sorry about that. My mind is racing
at a mile a minute right now.

(Without saying another word, Ranma grabs Sayuri up in his arms and
dashes off through the woods, emerging from there and on to the dirt
trail, Marlena in tow.)

Ranma: (To Marlena)Will you be able to keep up?

Marlena: (Smiles)Most likely. I may look outta shape, but don't let my
looks deceive you.

Ranma: Okay. Let's go.

(Ranma dashes off back toward town, carrying the extra load, that being
Sayuri and the backpack, with ease. He runs with such speed that not even
his legs can be seen, clouds of dust on the road forming behind him a
second after he sprints by that area. Marlena is left behind in Ranma's
dust.)

Marlena: (Laughs)Jeez, this guy's not kidding. He's really excited to get
back to the hospital.

(Marlena takes off running after Ranma, her speed matching his.)

(Time pass. Around ten minutes elapse before Ranma, Marlena, and Sayuri
find themselves standing in front of the hospital. Ranma gently places
Sayuri down on her feet.)

Sayuri: W-we're back....i-it only took you around fifteen minutes to run
all the way here, while carrying me and the camping equipment.

Ranma: (Smiles)Ten minutes actually.

Sayuri: We were walking for six hours! How'd you cover that distance in
ten minutes?!

Ranma: I'm fast. Six hours walking at your pace is around ten minutes of
me sprinting at my pace.

Sayuri: I need to sit down.

Ranma: (To Marlena)I'm surprised you kept up.

Marlena: (Breathing heavily)You're fast, but not fast enough to leave me
in the dust.(Thinking)Jeez, he isn't even tired. Is he that well in shape
or am I that out of shape? It must be the latter. I know I used to be
able to run that distance in half the time.

Ranma: I'm going to go in and talk to Boon, to find out what's up.

Marlena: Go right ahead.

(Ranma heads in to the hospital.)

Sayuri: Um, what should we do?

Marlena: Dunno.

Sayuri: Should we wait here for him?

Marlena: Let's go in and find out. I'm interested in hearing things
myself.

(Marlena and Sayuri head in. Upon entering and heading toward Boon's
room, they spot Ranma just down the hall. He is standing in front of
three girls neither of them had ever seen. They notice Ranma is speaking
to a girl hold two soda cans in her hands.)

Ranma: S-S-Shori?

Shori: R-Ranma?

Ranma: Is it really you?

Shori: Yes.(Tears start flowing)

(Shori drops the soda cans to the floor and runs forward, wrapping her
arms around the shocked Ranma. Ranma has his hands by his side, seemingly
in a state of stunned speechlessness.)

Shori: (Sobbing)Oh god, Ranma, how I've missed you!! I love you!! I love
you!! Please don't ever do that again!! Don't ever leave me!!

Ranma: Y-you don't hate me?

Shori: I can never hate you.

(Ranma brings his arms up and around Shori, hugging her tightly. He lifts
her up off her feet, spinning her around. Both of them cry tears of joy.)

Ranma: I've missed you so much! I thought you hated me!

Shori: It was all a misunderstanding! It was all my fault!

Ranma: No, it was my fault, I should've been truthful from the very
beginning. I was so scared that you would hate me when you found out.

Shori: Please, don't say that. I would never hate you. I was a bit
disappointed, but not so much as to actually hate you. Come on, you know
me better than that. I would never hate someone, much less someone I love
so much.

Sayuri: (To Marlena)I don't get it. What's going on?

Marlena: Who is that girl?

Sayuri: Um, I-I think that's Shori.(Thinking)No....no.....no....

Marlena: Wait. If that's Shori...then that means....(Eyes widen)Tsuki's
here!

Sayuri: Tsuki?

(As Ranma and Shori huge each other, Akemi and Reia run forward, hugging
the two of them in a group hug. Marlena, figuring it was best to leave
them be, heads off toward Boon's room to tell him that she had found
Ranma.)

Akemi: (Crying)This is so romantic! Cheesy but romantic!

Reia: (Crying)I love you guys! Please, let's never have this ever happen
again!

Ranma: Reia, Akemi, you're here.

Akemi: (Letting go)Of course we're here. Why wouldn't we?

Ranma: (Smiles)It's nice seeing you again. I missed you, Akemi. You too,
Reia.

Reia: (Blushing)Um, I-I missed you too.

Akemi: (Blushing)L-likewise.

Reia: (Softly)Um, we'll leave you guys alone so you can talk to each
other in private.

Akemi: I don't mind listening in.

Reia: Akemi!

Akemi: (Sighs)Okay. See you guys later.

Reia: We'll be waiting in the waiting room.

(Akemi and Reia both leave Ranma and Shori alone. They happen to walk in
the direction of Marlena and Sayuri.)

Sayuri: Um.

Akemi: Hello.

Sayuri: D-do you guys know Ranma?

Akemi: Why yes, we do. I'm Akemi.

Reia: I'm Reia.

Sayuri: I'm Sayuri...

Akemi: (Eyes widening)Y-you're Sayuri!

Sayuri: Um, yes.

Akemi: (Getting angry)You had us worried sick about Ranma!

Sayuri: (Taking step back)Hold up. W-what's going on here?

Akemi: On the plane-ride here, we found out about a girl on the same ship
as Ranma. We were told that you were trying to set your claws in to him.

Sayuri: ..................

Reia: (Getting in front of Akemi)Akemi! Lighten up! I'm sure there's an
explanation!

Akemi: Hmph!

Reia: Sorry about her. She really cares about Ranma and Shori. That's
all.

Sayuri: O-okay.

Reia: We're friends of Shori. Ranma and Shori were, are, very much in
love. Ranma left Japan about a week ago, thinking that Shori hated him.
However, it was all a misunderstanding. She's here now to tell Ranma
this, that she's always loved him.

Sayuri: ..................

Reia: I don't know what your relationship is to Ranma, but it's best to
leave Ranma be. Ranma and Shori were meant to be together.

Sayuri: S-so that's Shori, huh?

Reia: You know about her?

Sayuri: (Sadly)Yeah. Ranma's talked about her....a-about how much he
still loved her....even after he thought she hated him.

Akemi: (Anger forgotted)Really? What did he say?

Sayuri: (Weak laugh)I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I've always known
that his heart was always one someone else.

Akemi: You liked him, didn't you?

Sayuri: Yes.

Akemi: ..................

Sayuri: However, deep down inside, I always knew. That there was no room
for me in his heart....

Reia: ...................

Akemi: How was Ranma on the ship?

Sayuri: He's a very nice guy. That's why I grew to really like him.
However, he kept himself distant from me...I guess I should have always
seen that.

Akemi: Look, I'm sure you're a nice person. It's just that you went for
someone that, as you just said, was in love with someone else.

Sayuri: .................(Thinking)I was kind of hoping he would grow out
of love. I guess that was never the case.(Begins to talk)Besides, he only
considered me a friend.

Reia: He was purposely did that, keep distant that is?

Sayuri: Yes.

Reia: What was he like on the ship?

Sayuri: I guess much like the Ranma you know. However, any mention of
Shori or anything that led to him leaving Japan made him put up a wall
and become distant.

Reia: Wow, Shori had that much of an effect on him?

Sayuri: I guess so. He must really love her.

Akemi: (Sighs)Thank god. I was worried that the time he was apart, he
learned to get over her.

Reia: Um, they've only been apart for a week. Someone so much in love
don't fall out of love after only a week.

Sayuri: (Teary eyed)I guess I should've known that.(Thinking)I was scared
something like this was going to happen, but I guess I figured the risk
was worth it. It seems like I made a bad gamble.

(The scene changes on to Boon and Mr. Hyusa. Marlena enters the room, a
big smile on her lips.)

Marlena: Boon, I've got some great news!

(Marlena spots Mr. Hyusa standing by the foot of Boon's bed. A tear falls
from her eyes as she suddenly realizes that her assumptions were correct,
that if Shori was here, that Tsuki would be nearby.)

Marlena: (Very happy)Tsu-chan!

Mr. Hyusa: (Smiles)Marlena!

(Marlena runs forward where she is easily greeted with a very warm
embrace, Mr. Hyusa, lifting her up in the same fashion as Ranma did with
Shori. He twists her in the air a few times before finally putting her
back down on her feet.)

Mr. Hyusa: It's good to see you again.

Marlena: It's been ages.

Mr. Hyusa: Quite.

Marlena: How've you been?

Mr. Hyusa: Fine.

Marlena: (To Boon)Was this the surprise you mentioned? Did you know that
he was going to be here all this time and wanted it to be a surprise when
I got back?

Boon: No. I found out about it after you had left, only around fifteen
minutes afterwards.

Marlena: How?

Boon: Shortly after you left, Frog came in and told me that Tsu here was
on his way here. He got here not too long ago. We've been talking since,
catching up on times.

Marlena: Hmph, leaving me out of the conversation it seems.

Boon: (Grins)Hey, woman, didn't I just say it was unexpected? I'm holed
up here. There's nothing much we can do but talk.

Marlena: (Laughs)Well, whatever the case, it's good to see you again
Tsu-chan.

Mr. Hyusa: Likewise.

Marlena: Oh, before I forget, I found Ranma.

Mr. Hyusa: You have? I was just about to ask you about him. Where'd you
find him?

Marlena: Close to thirty miles out. Took a good ten minutes getting back.

Mr. Hyusa: T-ten minutes?(Smirks)Ah, I see you're losing your edge.

Marlena: Hey, when you haven't done some hard running like that in twenty
years, you do tend to lose your edge.

Mr. Hyusa: I'm just joking around.

Marlena: Anyway, Ranma's back and he's talking to, I guess, your
daughter.

Mr. Hyusa: Shori?

Marlena: Yes. Otherwise, then that'd mean he's awefully friendly toward
female friends.(Laughs)

Mr. Hyusa: Let me go get her. I'll introduce the two of you.

Marlena: Don't worry about it. Boon told me the story. She must miss him
an awefully lot. Jus' leave 'em be. I'll meet her soon enough.

Mr. Hyusa: You sure?

Marlena: Yeah. (Smiles)I saw 'em together. They look cute together.

Mr. Hyusa: I think so too.

Boon: Where's Sayuri?

Marlena: She's here too.

Boon: (Concerned)How's she taking it?

Marlena: I'm not too sure. Not good I suppose.

Boon: I feel so bad for her. Such a sweet girl too.

Mr. Hyusa: Where is this Sayuri person? I'd like to meet her.

Marlena: Outside. She's talking to the friends I guess.

Mr. Hyusa: Oh. Okay. I guess they're clearing things out for her.

Marlena: Do they know about her?

Mr. Hyusa: Yes. I mentioned about her to them and Shori on the plane-ride
here.

Marlena: It must've really worried them.

Boon: Most likely. How would you feel if you find out that someone you
cared for left because of a misunderstanding and that there's a chance
someone might get that person on the rebound?

Marlena: I understand. I know what you mean.

(Meanwhile, in the waiting room, Reia, Akemi, and Sayuri were talking to
one another. Akemi and Reia had gone about revealing everything that led
to Ranma's eventual departure of Japan.)

Sayuri: .................

Akemi: I know, it's a crazy. Ranma and Shori's been through so much. They
deserve to be together.

Sayuri: .................

Akemi: How come you kept persuing him?

Sayuri: I know know. You can't tell yourself not to like someone. If you
could, it would be a whole lot easier dealing with things, especially if
that other person doesn't or won't return your feelings.

Akemi: ..................

Reia: ..................

Sayuri: Oh, I see. You two like Ranma too.

Akemi: (Blushing)No!

Reia: (Blushing)No! W-we do not! Like like that!

Sayuri: (Shrugs)If you say so.

Akemi: Look, the point is is that if you go after Ranma, it'll complicate
things more...

Sayuri: Don't worry. I won't.

Akemi: ................(Thinking)Wow, that was easy.

Sayuri: I never knew it was like this. I thought it was because Shori was
an idiot for letting Ranma go. However, now that I realize the story in
full, I have no intention of going after him, not anymore. I'm not that
kind of person.

Reia: T-that's good to hear.

Sayuri: I always thought it was because your friend hated him. However,
even though Ranma told me that he still loved her, it didn't really deter
me. I believe he would fall out of love given the time.

Akemi: Oh.(Thinking)Don't I feel stupid? I forgot about that. I didn't
realize she was trying to snag Ranma from Shori. Instead, she was just
going after some that she thought had been dumped that happened to still
have lingering feelings.

Sayuri: I admit, I liked him, like him a lot. But I would never have done
what I have done had I known this.

Akemi: It seem like the misunderstanding spans far greater than the group
of people that Ranma had left behind.

Sayuri: Seems so.
