Not pointless just obscure. I can see a couple of things,
one Nerima is worse than Hell, two Ryoga scares easy

I enjoyed the diagnoses of the inhabitants of the Tendo
Dojo. I don't agree with them mind but I did enjoy them.
That night,
Nerima burnt to the ground.
And the Earth melted, the sun exploded, the galaxy went out
and the universe compacted into a small yellow ball, which
deflated. The end of where ever the story is taking place is
ALWAYS a valid ending. Usually
unsatisfactory but valid.
Apart from that it wasn't a bad attempt. I found the Demon
to be interesting in a perverse sort of way.
