First, (and to those who haven't guessed some things, please skip this and
go to the story and comments there.) Making Herb The Mandarin was
disturbed. (yes, I caught the references to ten rings. don't know who all
did, but there's only one marvel villian who has ten rings)

I thought it was rather obvious, and the power level works for him to be a
real threat to this lot.

I can't wait to see how this mess will work out. Shampoo's an assassain,
and I don't know if she'll hold enough to the defunct amazon code to try
and
marry captain japan when he beats her.

Ha! No. She's buried all but one aspect of her past, and she's only sort of
kept it around since the Hand does something similar. You'll see it later.
She regards 'Shan Pu' as dead and buried as much as her 'Student' is.

It will also be interesting when Mousse figures out who she is, and
Cologne...

Ye shall see. Though she's never met Cologne in this time line, and even if
the family ties could be established, she wouldn't care. Mousse on the other
hand might be a different matter if they ever figure out who's who.

Definately enjoying. Had to read eight to catch up.

Yeah. This one is getting close to one meg. Man, they grow on you without
reazing it. And I said this series was going to have shorter chapters as
well. :(

 Still have to admire
your sense for slapstick...

Thanks. I'm probaby better with humor than at more dramatic stuff, I think.

"Forgive me, Captain-sama." The Iron Rose broke off her work and returned
ponderously to her feet. She gave a deep bow, formal despite the bulky
armor
she wore. "The modifications necessary for our impromptu flight are
extensive to assure our safe arrival in these uncharted waters. I shall
endeavor to hasten my work so we can set upon our foes all the quicker.
There is but one more system I need to check, then we shall be off on our
merry way. Fighting alongside you shall be an honor, Captain-sama.
Ohohohoho!" She laughed maniacally covering her mouth with her gauntlet.

***While this fit's Kodachi's treatment of Ranma, it doesn't seem to me
that
her speech patterns are correct. Kodachi's always been as flowery in her
own way as her brother. (BTW can't wait till she sees "the swordsman" in
action and recognizes his weapon and style) Even when she's grouseing, she
uses the language elegantly***

She's not quite so eloquent because she's been buried in labs and work a lot
of her life. High handed yes, though.

Daredevil cursed his tendency to actually face people when he focused on
them. It had been necessary to learn to put people at ease by looking at
them when communicating. Other's didn't like it when the person speaking
to
them appeared to have their attention elsewhere, even if they knew they
were
talking with a blind man. He always did it out of habit now, and
unfortunately Hawkeye had noticed and was questioning him.

"Not really. I was just thinking of things," Daredevil said quickly.

***this bothered me a little. Matt's radar sense has occasionally been
demonstrated to let Matt 'See' through disguises and to also see
heartbeats.
Mousse should be able to see the differences in Ukyo's body from
Ranma's.
If nothing else, as acute as his senses are, there are a lot of small
clues
that should tell him. Her smell, the lack of a base timber to her voice,
her lack of an adams apple. While I understand it from the basis of your
story and the comedic aspect, you may want to explain why mousse misses
all
these clues***

Once he figured Hawkeye was a guy, and suspected that 'he' was gay, Mousse
didn't want anything to do with him. Minor case of homophobia. If he pays
attention to someone that's 'gay' he might be concerned that he has an
interest in men. Irriational, of course, but people are oftentimmes just
that. Although I will admit the longer Ukyou stays in his presense, the more
likely it is he's going to put two and two together. If he had kept paying
attention a few seconds more here, he would have figured out the secret. So
rest assured its only a matter of time he'll figure it out.

She looked down at the man she had carried with her. It was peculiar that
when Tofu shrank down to her size, he became incoherent and the goggles on
his mask fogged over. It was probably some side-effect from the shrinking
gas. At any time she could use one of the enlarging gas canisters on his
belt to return him to normal size, and hopefully more coherent, but she
thought better of it. Coming up with a different plan, she flew up with
Giant Man in a fireman's carry cross her shoulders, and headed for the
quinjet.

***Sigh... Is Kasumi ever, in any story but mine, going to figure out that
Tofu is beyond gaga for her and that's why he get this way?

Could be she is subconsiously aware of it but doesn't feel the same way, so
she avoids acknolwedging what his going gaga means so she doesn't have to
reject his feelings and they can maintain the relationship they have. I'm
not saying it's that way here, but it's a handy explanation one can plug in
and exploit if they so choose. And even if that is the case here, she might
change her mind as she spends more time with Tofu and he's decidedly
non-babbly. Still lots of routes and possiblities at this stage of the game.
You'll just have to wait and see.

While yes, it's
Canon, and yes, it's funny... the first thousand times, it would be nice
to
see the same twist to this relationship so appearent elsewhere in
Avenging... It's too... SSDD***

*** one has to wonder if Shampoo even remembers her real name, and
Mousse...***

She does remember her 'original name' , but she doesn't regard it as hers
anymore since she's changed into what the Hand made her. And maybe you'll
find out about the Mousse question later.

Iron Rose placed the back of her armored gauntlet against her helmet.
"Ohohohoho! How naive of you. This aircraft is the epitome of modern
technology, designed by the most brilliant genius of our era, and
constructed using the best materials in the world. It has the most
advanced
and sophisticated computer systems ever designed by human beings,
including
electronic countermeasures that make us invisible to every tracking system
on the planet. We could fly over Beijing all day and they wouldn't have
the
faintest idea we were there, unless they visually spotted us."

***This is more Kodachi's verbal style***

I'm glad this bit works better then.

"Maybe the tracking system isn't from Earth. Maybe it's from outer space."
Captain Japan offered as Thor landed with both him and Daredevil clinging
to
her. He made absolutely certain his hands were nowhere near her breasts.

*** Humm... just a wild guess??? After all, the Mandarin's rings are
extra
terrestrial, and if I remember correctly, the ship he got them from is
also
the one that cursed the marvel universe with Apocalypse***

Don't know about the Apocalypse connection, but you're right about the rings
being of alien origin. It belonged to a race of reptilians called the
Muklukan (sp?), I believe. They crash landed and the rings were part of what
powered the propulsion system. It was revealed a few years ago that Fin Fang
Foom was one of them. Don't remember why he was the only one that got that
big, but the rest of the survivors took on human guises until the captain
gathered them in an attempt to claim the rings once again. Since Mousse
acknowledges Triple F as being in this universe, your supposition is very
likely.

"Bah!" the Goddess of Thunder snorted. "The next thing thou wilt claim is
that there really are Stone Men from Saturn. All know there are not such
things as beings from outer space."

***Nice irony***

I thought it would be a cute touch.

In answer, the first words of "Yappa pan, yappa pan, ish a ten," began
blaring out over her speakers.

*** to quote a reveiwer for LoveStruck... you owe me a new monitor for the
soda I spit all over it***

Thought it would be another cute touch. Wasn't sure if I got the words
exactly right, but people would pick up on the idea quick enough.

"Oh. Maybe we'd better be more on guard," Captain Japan shifted his shield
from its carrying position to one where he could bring it up to deflect an
attack in an instant.

***Again... With his senses, Mousse should have felt more than just the
breeze. He should also have heard the buzz of Mint's feet, and if he was
moving that fast, felt the pressure wave. I'll be generous and overlook
the
sonic boom...***

Oh pooh. Marvel always overlooked speed side effects. Surely you don't
expect me to not do the same. :)

xxxxxxxxxx

***And no sign of Kasumi or Tofu? I'm almost positive they wouldn't have
been killed by the crash.

Obviously.

They are too central to the avengers, and that is
what you are working up to... ***

Explained next chapter.

"He is truly a man among men," Thor declared with a somewhat stupid grin.

***Actually, that doesn't really prove 'he's' not gay, just that 'he's'
potentially bisexual***

Heh.

***more... quickly...***

Just one more prereader to go and I'll post it.

Thanks for the comments. Yours were the first I've gotten. Hope you like the
second half as well.
