Did the deal between Genma and Nodoka to
raise Ranma to be a "man among men" actually
exist prior to Ranma becoming cursed, or did
the curse manipulate past events when it looked
like Ranma's life was settling down again?

A cute idea, and perhaps worth expanding into a fic, but you'll
have to rewrite canon somewhat to make it work.  Not only does
it make the curse almost insanely powerful (it not only did
it completely rewrite Genma's and Nodoka's memories, but it
created the contract signed by Genma and hand-printed by
chibi-Ranma out of thin air), but you also have to explain 
why Genma didn't return to Nodoka after coming back to Japan,
since without the contract, he wouldn't have had any reason 
not to.
