Well... Hmm. =) I understand your point perfectly, Gary, I know what you
mean. But I guess, as stated in the Author's Notes, I was trying to
conceive a story of "bliss", so that doesn't leave much room for conflicts.
Besides, as I said, it can be thought of as an ending for "THE LONG
GOODBYE", so I guess all the conflicts and tensions can be found there. =)
After all, certain references were made in COOL MORNINGS which can be found
in the plot in THE LONG GOODBYE.

Thanks for reading!

Stiffanie

Um. Well. :) Not sure what to tell you. It was a really nice piece of
writing. This might have made a really nice *ending* for a fic. But on
its own, well... contentment, while nice for the characters in question,
is just not that interesting to read about, IMO. The dramatic tension,
the feeling that something *might* go badly, just isn't there. I'm not
saying that they have to threaten to break up, or pull weapons on each
other, or anything like that. It can be something as subtle as a hurt
feeling that might go unresolved.

Anyhow, as I said, it was quite well-written, and hopefully other
readers will find it more to their tastes than I did. Keep writing!
