    That's a funny answer. The lead in to the FLCL reference is a little awkward.

    Why not, "You know, that's a funny story, from a long way back... you see..." as is, it feels a little stilted.

    "What?  Why does that matter?"  Yuki asked in a puzzled voice.

    Good question!

    "Before I changed my name, I was named Naota."  He paused.  "As for how I started?  I suppose I started at a bridge, with a guitar and a girl named Haruko."

    The lead-in is still a little forced...

    Tanaka threw his head back and laughed, then spoke one more sentence.

    "And then things got...interesting."

    Suggest moving those two into the same paragraph.

    A 1961 Ebson EB-Zero guitar kicks ass.  "Little Busters" is addictive.  And FLCL is indescribable.

    Yeah, there's a video on www.animemusicvideos.com set to Little Busters. One of my favorites.

    Watched the whole series in one shot.  And when I saw the shot of Naota standing with the guitar slung across his back in the final episode (anyone who's seen it KNOWS the shot I'm talking about), the ONLY thing running through my mind was  "It's Black Heaven."  From there, this wrote itself.

    If anyone wants to do anything with this idea, feel free to.  I know I'll never do anything more on it.  (If you do, please drop me a line.  Great for my ego.  ^_^)

FLCL (AKA FuriKuri)...belongs to Gainax, I believe.

    That's right. I'm not sure, but I think Gainax produces their own stuff in the US, too, so that doesn't need to be changed when it's released in the US. :)
