but conveniences, similar to nicknames.  But every human responds to

"..."  Keiichi thought for a moment.  "Everyone responds to it?"

"Yes.  It won't seem very imaginative to you, but it does set human
beings apart from the gods...and the demons."

Keiichi shrugged.  "Ok, what is it?"

Urd looked at him, then whispered words that were more felt than heard.
Before Keiichi could parse the sounds, Urd seemed to gain a commanding
aura, one from which he could not possibly tear his attention away.  He
felt this compulsion to listen grow with each passing second, as the
words "Hey, You" echoed in his consciousness.
