Akane stormed up to him, furious,

But before she could get to them, Cologne appeared, hopping down the street,
a look of anger on her withered visage. "Shampoo!" she said accusingly,
holding out a bottle with some sort of pills in it. "I see you haven't been
taking your medicine like you were told to."

Shampoo stuck her tongue out. "Shampoo no need to take medicine anymore.
Shampoo think perfectly clear without them. Besides, it taste yucky."

In response, Cologne swatted Shampoo in the stomach, doubling her over. She
then proceeded to quickly jam two of the tablets, and forced Shampoo's mouth
closed. A gulp followed.

Shampoo made a face that caused even Akane to cringe. "That still taste as
awful as Shampoo remember. Shampoo..." She shook her head, then a fog seemed
to lift from over her eyes. She looked at Ranma, who she had continued to
glomp. Softly, she said, "Ranma, you no like it when Shampoo grab you, yes?"

"I kinda thought that would be obvious with the way I shout and try to
squirm out and stuff," he answered.

"So sorry. Shampoo not take medication and not think clearly. Is something
to do with imba... imbalan... something in Shampoo's brain and chemicals. It
sometimes affect Shampoo's thinking. Sort of like when Mousse try to see
things without glasses. Obvious things not always as obvious as they should
be." She gained a thoughtful gleam in her eye. "Yes, in hindsight, Shampoo
has been going about winning Airen's heart all wrong. Hmm." She released
Ranma and wandered off, a calculated look on her features.

"Why did what I just saw make me feel worse instead of better?" Ranma said,
cringing.

Before Akane could answer, a demure voice said, "Pardon me, Ranma-sama."

Both turned to see a decidely non-gleeful Kodachi before them.

She bowed gracefully. "I'm terrible sorry I've been such an irritant of
late. I haven't been taking the prozac I've been prescribed. Regretably, I
have been off it for a while now, under the illusion I could get by without
it. My family has this herditary condition, you see, and without something
to counterbalance it, we tend to be a bit manic."

"I hadn't noticed," Ranma said dryly.

"It's true," Kodachi assured him. "You should see what my brother is like
when he isn't on them."

"You mean he's taking them now?!" Akane said in disbelief.

Kodachi nodded somberly. "Anyway, I just wanted to assure you I won't be
engaging in my usual shenanigans around you. Mind you, I still intend to win
your heart, that feeling was sincere, just that I've given up my usual
antics." She wandered off, muttering, "I still can't believe I was skipping
around town in a leotard and laughing my head off,"

Ranma's jaw had nearly dropped to the ground. He slowly turned to Akane, "Do
you have something to tell me?"

Akane laughed nervously, "Going back on my pills as soon as we get home."

Ranma rolled his eyes. He was about to say something when Ukyou appeared.

"Hey, guys. Sorry I'm late," she said

"And are you going to start taking your pills too?" Ranma asked.

"What pills?"

"To make you act rational."

"Are you saying I'm not rational, and that I need to be on some kind of mind
altering medication to make me so?! Why you jackass!" She unlimbered her
spatula and smacked Ranma on the head, flattening him. She mumbled something
about being "Perfectly rational" as she headed towards school.

Ranma smiled from his position on the ground. "At least someone is acting
normal around here."

I think in many ways that was more effective C+C than the normal banter and
occasinal grammar remarks. I give. My opinion on the matter should be pretty
clear. Ciao.
