It has been eight years since Nerima has suffered the chaos that prevailed in the life of one Ranma Saotome, eight years of peace and quiet. Eight years of tranquil normality and serenity and the citizens of Nerima welcomed it, a whole eight years since Ranma Saotome left Nerima and their lives.

Prologue: Return to Chaos
The grounds of Furinkan High School, it has silently witnessed several things that would confound the normal person, it has withered through battles between super-powered martial artists, endured numerous spirits, demons and whatnot. And of course it has survived being trampled upon. Upon these hollowed grounds the people who once studied here reminisce, recollect and catch up on long lost friends and generally having a good time, such is the workings of a reunion.
In gatherings such as these, some people usually stand out. These are usually those who made names for themselves, people like Akane Tendo, international star of the silver screen. "Akane, I can't believe it, you actually came!" Yuka cried, hugging the stunned actress. "Um... it's nice to see you too Yuka." Akane stammered in reply, taking time to recover from the hug, "My god, she'd make a great Amazon, she almost got the glomp perfectly." She thought, trying to get her lungs to take in air once again. "I can't believe you found time to be away from filming, you must have a hectic schedule." Sayuri, another school friend of Akane, remarked, swirling her glass of punch as she joined in the conversation. The superstar merely shook her head and smiled, dazzling her companions. "Actually, I asked my manager for a time off, I thought I needed a break myself. And, what better place to relax than your old home-town, right?" Her two friends merely giggled in reply and proceeded t!
o fill Akane in on the gossips regarding their old friends. Their conversation was suddenly halted when someone tapped Akane on the shoulder. "Hey sugar, long time no see, how have you been." The woman asked hefting the baby she was carrying over the other shoulder, her sandalwood eyes gleaming with joy. "Uk-Ukyo? Is that you?" Akane asked, her eyes bulging in surprise. The woman smiled and inclined her head in affirmation. She was surprised when Akane suddenly tackled her, proceeding to hug her in the process. "God, it's so good to see you. Look at you, I've never seen you so radiant, so peaceful, so... so..."Akane was unable to finish, tears of joy flowed down her cheeks, her eyes radiant with joy. "So at peace? You're right about that one Ak-chan. I've never felt so happy in my life, I guess motherhood does that to a person." Ukyo replied, staring at her baby with abject serenity. The four friends basked in this feeling, which unfortunately was broken by a loud scre!
am of "WHERE ON EARTH AM I NOW!!!!" Ukyo sighed in embarrassment. "That jackass, I can't leave him alone for a second. Excuse me for a moment." She took a deep breath and shouted. "RYOUGA YOU PIG-HEADED JACKASS, CAN'T YOU STAY PUT FOR A SECOND?" she took a moment to catch her breath as she shook her head, muttering about idiots with no sense of directions. The baby in her arms just gurgled happily, apparently used to scenes like this. A sheepish Ryouga chose that time to burst out from the crowds, his face was red with abject abashment. "Aheh, sorry about that honey, I sorta went to the bathroom and got lost." He said, scratching the back of his head as he apologized. The girls giggled at the sight of the heavily muscled martial-artist prostrating himself unto the feet of his frowning wife. Akane shook her head in amusement; a few years ago she wasn't certain things would turn out this way. With Ryouga married and Ukyo still pining for Ranma, nobody expected them to com!
e together, until the day Akari was struck down by a disease she got from her Sumo-pigs and Ryouga fell into the deepest well of depression. It took a few choice words from Ukyo to snap him out of it, and they were together ever since. It was only two years ago that they decided to get married, an occasion Akane didn't hesitate to skip filming for. To see her friends like this made her so nostalgic yet at the same time so very happy, the only thing that would make this occasion even more perfect would be for Ranma to show up, but there was a fat chance of that happening. She sighed and tired to bring herself to enjoy the day.
Not so far away, two covered figures were walking towards Nerima, the hoods of their cloaks obscured their faces, and their clothes appeared worn and caked with dirt. They appeared to have been on the road for a very long time, the short one appeared worn out as she leaned on the taller one. "How much farther, nii-san. I'm tired and hungry." She complained and was evidenced by the growling sound that her stomach emitted. The taller one patted her head and replied. "Not much farther, if you want, I can carry you piggyback. We're almost there kid, don't worry." The younger one shook her head; "I can make it. You did say it's just a bit further down the road, right? Besides, you can't carry me while carrying all our stuff." She replied, stifling a giggle as she imagined what her big brother would look like, appearing somewhat like a pack-mule. The taller one chuckled softly as he took her hand and proceeded on their way. Not noticing the shadowy creatures that followed i!
n their footsteps. "Nii-chan, tell me again about Akane." The girl asked again as she settled her head on the folds of her companion's cloak, who placed his hand around her shoulder drawing her to a hug. He was about to indulge her request when all hell decided to break loose. "Oh shit!"
Back at Furinkan, the party was going full swing, the awards ceremonies had just finished and they had named Nabiki Tendo, most outstanding alumnus for her achievements in the corporate world. Tatewaki Kuno began to rant that he should have been the one to receive the award for being the best kendoist in all of Japan. He didn't get to finish his spiel however for it was at that time that the wall behind him burst apart, revealing hideous monster-like creatures that should have only existed in science fiction movies or sentai shows. Hideous mutated beings that looked like humans and like beasts but are of neither, things that belong in nightmares and not in the waking world now walked the halls of Furinkan, sowing terror and death wherever they were. The crowd at Furinkan began to panic, running to and fro like headless chickens, trampling over each other in their need to get away. Ukyo handed Sayuri her son and the three martial artists assumed fighting stances. "I wish I !
had the presence of mind to bring my spatula, didn't think I was going to need it, oh well at least the party got interesting." Ukyo remarked shaking her head. The monsters then chose that time to attack them and chaos ensued.
Some moments and countless mutilated mutants later found the martial artists still standing, they sported bruises cuts and wounds in numerous places. "I don't think we could take them all Akane, there's just too many of them." Ukyo remarked, wiping an errant trickle of blood away from her eyes. Her friend just nodded grimly, she breathed heavily, fatigue obviously catching up to her. Ryouga just frowned, wishing he still had his depression to draw power from, ever since being married to Ukyo he couldn't find it in him to get depressed, he was too happy and now it was going to cost them. Suddenly he heard a gasp from his wife's direction, he turned to look and found her staring at him as if seeing a ghost or a frightful apparition. Ukyo pointed a shaking finger at him and said in a shaking voice "Ryo-chan, you're glowing!" It was then that he noticed it, the despair that this situation had brought about had awakened the latent power sleeping inside him. He smiled, there!
may be a slight chance after all, but he wasn't betting on it. "Stand back!" he ordered as he proceeded to concentrate, driving all of his despair into him, collecting it's power, making it grow bigger and stronger, until... 'SHI-SHI-HOUKODAN!" The chi-ball wasn't as big as he hoped it would be, yet it worked just the same, plowing into the ranks of the humanoids, making them look like sprawled pins after the rush of a huge bowling ball. But, just as soon as they were cleared even more monsters filled the gap.
Just when they were giving up hope on getting out of this alive, they were startled when the window nearest them broke, a shadowy figure hurtled through, carrying what appeared to be a body of a young girl. The stranger gently lowered the girl to the floor and stood up from his crouching position. He then stretched out his left hand, palm out ring finger and thumb forming a circle, he murmured something beneath his breath, and the golden bracers that he wore began to glow. The force of the technique ruffled his cloak, as if battered by an unseen force. He pointed up and bellowed. "RAI-HA!" The sky then proceeded to darken and bolts of lightning began to rain down on the hapless humanoids, frying them where they stood. The rest of the dread host, upon seeing some of their member being decimated in such a manner began to flee in earnest, and soon all was quiet once again. The stranger sighed and lowered his hood, revealing to the observers a face that they haven't glimpsed fo!
r over eight years. They goggled, unable to utter a single word. The person chose that time to come near them. "Hi guys..." Ranma began, "...sorry about this." He then grinned sheepishly.
