Having disassembled it, Kei took her time examining each part: the
rifling and precision of the barrel, the robustness of the trigger,
the accuracy of the sights once adjusted, and the clever packing of the
ammunition to squeeze in a couple more rounds. Then she snapped it all
back together and blew away a target, timing herself, then trying not
to let her jaw drop at the size of the hole in the target.
Yuri stood to the side, smiling. "So, what do you think?"
"Verrry nice. You're sure you've never been a professional gunsmith?"
"Mm-hmm! So, think it'll win?"
"Not a chance."
"But..."
"Yuri, he said *canon*. One n." She held up the gun, wondering how to
get Yuri to let her keep it. "This...is a very abstract interpretation
of the storyline, at best."
Unless your

"How's this work again?"
Kiyone glanced at Sasami, only daring to take her eyes off the
experiment for one second at a time. "Simple. We feed in Mihoshi's
life story, along with her physical characteristics, and this machine
pops out a male version of her. Don't ask me why Washu had it laying
around; I'm sure we don't want to know."
"But you only fed in a paragraph."
"Just the significant details. That should be enough." Lowering her
voice, she mumbled, "Besides, that's all HQ would tell me when I asked
how she got that way."
"So...what's the point, anyway?"
"To make someone that Mihoshi would like even more than Tenchi. Don't
give me that look, we both know it's only going to hurt them both if
she has to keep fighting Ryoko and Ayeka. Anyway, my plan is to
introduce them - they should fall in love at first sight - then help
them get comfortable with each other if necessary. I shouldn't have to
do a thing by the third date."
"Oh, I see! And before we know it, they'll be married, and there will
be lots of little Mihoshis running around, right?"
"That's right, Sasa..."
Realization shock lasted three point nine seconds. Sasami timed it.
"WHAT AM I DOING?!?!?!? Sasami, quick, help me shut this thing down!"
Sasami complied, keeping her grin to herself. Pointing mistakes out
like this was so much more effective than Ayeka's or her parents' ways,
and the funny expressions were such a delightful bonus.
- Adrian Tymes will now explain why or why not.
Because.
BUT NOT BOTH.
Too late. ^_-
