Maybe so, but spouting off ideas at random isn't inspiration. No offense
intended, but any monkey can do that.
Real inspiration lies in being able to recognize *viable* ideas and
separate them from the junk. For story ideas, this means asking yourself
questions like:
* What interesting conflicts does the idea lead to?
* How will this idea provide opportunities for emotional drama? Humor?
Suspense? Keen insights into the nature of humanity? Fan service?
* What insights will the story show about the characters? In what ways
will it be able to show them growing and learning?
* Why would people enjoy reading this story?
IMO, anyone who makes an "idea post" to the ffml ought to be able to
answer at least some of these questions. Otherwise you're only wasting
everyone else's time.
