I've seen this comment before on this list and other places and it always

bothered me.

But today when I read it again in allyn's comments I thought of what

bothered me about it and a way of hopefully making it clear to others

just what is wrong with such a blanket statement.

Thomas Edison is famous for his inventions and a saying that says

essentially the same thing as the first point above.

----------------------------------------------------------------

"Invention is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent persperation"

Like allyn's version I think edison missed the point.

Without the inspiration its just persperation.

In other words

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

without that 1 percent inspiration you don't get a Thomas Edison.

COMMENT on (here comes Kitsune) idea that fox the wanderer submitted

Any time you send a idea to the list it's probably a good idea to

present it as a spamfic or supply several short sections that clarify what you are presenting.

This would help to satisfy the other valid points allyn yonge raised about

your idea and possible serve to inspire you and others to use it.

God bless
