Hey, it IS canon that QB is both insane and stupid.

Of course, it could be theorized that it was the

remaining good in her fighting against what she

had become, and she subconsciously fought against

her proclaimed goals... Hmm... there's a fic there to

be written...

Another explanation might be that unlike other parts of the body, human

brain cells don't regenerate (even for immortals). After x thousand

years trapped in the Dark Kingdom, QB hasn't much functioning grey

matter left. Dying and being reincarnated, as the Senshi were, might be

a much better way of traveling to the future, than being immortal and

actually living the intervening years. Makes ya wonder about Pluto,

though, don't it?

Over the course of time, although the molecules of the cells of the body

get replaced, the actual *cells* of the brain don't. When a brain cell

dies, that's it for that cell. No new nerve cell will grow in to

replace it. And if new nerve cells *did* grow... would you, 1000 years

from now, with most of your brain cells replacements of ones which have

died, be the same person as you are now (even accounting for added

experiences)?
