Hey, it IS canon that QB is both insane and stupid.

Of course, it could be theorized that it was the

remaining good in her fighting against what she

had become, and she subconsciously fought against

her proclaimed goals... Hmm... there's a fic there to

be written...

Another explanation might be that unlike other parts of the body, human

brain cells don't regenerate (even for immortals). After x thousand

years trapped in the Dark Kingdom, QB hasn't much functioning grey

matter left. Dying and being reincarnated, as the Senshi were, might be

a much better way of traveling to the future, than being immortal and

actually living the intervening years. Makes ya wonder about Pluto,

though, don't it?

Heh.

Maybe QB is just kept in a tight leash by Metallia.

Nah.

I think it's just that she started out obsessive, was banished when

she actually won into a disgusting looking dimension and had to stay

there for millenia or ten... Even without any brain damage, it's bound

to make a person slightly... eccentric.

Over the course of time, although the molecules of the cells of the body

get replaced, the actual *cells* of the brain don't. When a brain cell

dies, that's it for that cell. No new nerve cell will grow in to

replace it. And if new nerve cells *did* grow... would you, 1000 years

from now, with most of your brain cells replacements of ones which have

died, be the same person as you are now (even accounting for added

experiences)?

Eh, just 1000 years? Somewhat, I'd say... I mean, an average brain cell

is good for coupl'a hundred years, if used.

The thing is, a neuron in itself doesn't do anything, it's the way it's

connected. If they'd be replaced randomly across the brain, it would be

probable that they would connect to the same cells their "ancestors"

were. Actually, something like this would actually prevent mental

stagnation, senility, 'cause the connects would still slightly change.

Question: were you the same person at the age 16 and age 20? I,

myself have changed considerably much.

Pluto's 'lucky' 'cause she has that huge memo in form of the time gate

from with which she can review the past events.

There are three methods for writing code in which no bug can be found:

1) Make the code so straightforward that there are obviously no bugs.

2) Make the code so complicated that there are no obvious bugs.

3) Insist that any apparent bugs were really intentional features.
