This Genma and Ranma as hyper-glutton thing kinda smells of fanfic
cliche to me. I mean, these are the people who, for the sake of
training, left a nice home and a skilled cook to subsist on whatever
scraps they could scrape up for ten years. Okay, so we know that they
generally don't say no to free food when it's offered, or sometimes even
when it isn't. :) But is there any time in the manga where they're shown
not leaving any food for anyone else?

You should probably be asking if there is any time in the manga or anime.

Not liking the anime is one thing. Suggesting that a fanfic must be consistent
with the manga or be wrong is something else.

For that matter has it ever happened in the anime? some people just pick
one word, "anime" or "manga" instead of wasting two whole words (three
syllables, 8 bytes including spaces). it's easier to type one or the
other. he also never said that there wasn't, merely asked if there was.
