Seven men walked into a room with seven walls, each painted one of seven colors. They met at a seven-sided table,
it's sections each colored correspondently to the wall behind it. They sat in seven different chairs, the colors matching
the table and walls. Seven cards, with seven names, graced each side of the table in front of the men.
They were all different men.
They were all the same man.
Seven cards read, "Ranma Saotome, Daybreaker Corps". Each was followed by a corresponding day of the week.
Monday-Ranma, seated at the red quadrant, nodded at his companions, "It's been a while since we've all been together
like this." He coughed nervously and adjusted his red silk shirt, and there seemed to be multiple bruises on his head.
Tuesday-Ranma sighed, "Can we get this over with? Shampoo will make my life miserable if I don't get back to the Council
in time, you know." He suddenly flickered, and in his place was a red-haired girl, wearing purple silk clothes similar to those the man sitting in her place had been wearing. "Sorry, but I have to change for work" she said.
Wednesday-Ranma adjusted his glasses and punched numbers rapidly into a calculator, pausing only to scoff at Tuesday. "You think you have problems?" He sniffed. "Nabiki-sama will have my head if I don't get these figures done today!"
Thursday's stomach growled, and he rubbed his hands over his baking apron, "Yeah, and Ukyo-chan probably has my second
breakfast ready, so let's get this done!"
Friday's Ranma giggled nervously and jittered as he stared off into space, murmuring, "Anything..take all day..just keep me away from her!"
Saturday just sighed and wondered if Friday had as many problems with his mistress as she did with Kuno. Nah. Noone
but the Blue Thunder, Prince of Funrikan, could be so dense. But, being a secretary paid the bills...
Sunday just meowed.
Monday thumped his head into the table and sighed. "Listen," he said, "We have to work together now. We've been activated.
There's an unliscenced daybreaker wh-"
" Bah!" Thursday cried, "I just want fed and back to my Ucchan!"
" Lord Kuno needs me! Let the corp pick someone else!"
" There's a 15.55% chance a daybreaker agent is not necessary. Let each Day's agents handle it"
" Hmph! You don't have to deal with Cologne!, and that idiot Mousse hitting on you!"
" Meow!"
"I don't wanna go back to her! Keep me here!"
Monday slammed his hands down on the table as he stood up. "I don't care!" he yelled. " I'm hungry, and I sure as heck don't want to see Akane, and we all KNOW we're going to have to work with her! But we have a job to do! Today's Tuesday, so it's up to Tuesday's Ranma first. You have to contact the Corp and find out the whereabouts of the Wanderer, before he wrecks anything else."
"Wanderer..sounds like a lot of fun...alright, I suppose. I owe the Corp my life after all, we'd all be Monday without them to create us...see you on the next day...."
Seven men, two of them women, all the same man, walked out one dorr with seven sides. The hunt for the Wanderer had begun.
