Seriously now. I liked this. I'm really very curious as to how it plays out
and Maxwell's story sounds like it could be an epic all it's own.

   I may have inadvertently created the wrong impression...
Mike Maxwell's story IS the epic, and Mimi's just on hand for
someone to narrate at. :)  (She will, however, be a main character
in the sequel series, "Legend of the Demon's Tomb".)

rewriting (the first draft was an internal monologue, I need
to alter it to reflect Mimi's captive-audience state)...
