Except why write him as a 14-year old?
It was wise of you NOT to have his father around even though you had scenes
at his house. A suggestion, for the duration of the story keep his father
out of town. Unless you've actually read the latest chapters from Japan,
you'll probably get him wrong. I can forward you summaries of the latest
story arc where he appears.
