Sometime, you realize that the gods are trying to tell you
something. In my case, the've been beating me about the head and neck
with a whiffle-ball bat trying to get my attention, and have finally
resorted to dirty pool to get their point across.
My computer (ordinarily a very reliable workhorse of a machine)
decided to crash. Fortunately, I managed to salvage almost all of my
fanfic stuff... _EXCEPT_ for the stuff I had worked out for chapter Five
of Akane the Vampire Slayer, a measly 24kb I've been bashing my head
against for months. Like any semi-intelligent human being, I DID make a
backup on a disk, but THAT decided to inexplicably magnetize, costing me
my work on ATVS5, ATVSoav1, Chapter two of Knights of Danu, and chapter
six of Rock n' Roll 1/2.
Needless to say, I worked my way through a colourful litany of
profanity.
So I have come to a decision. I know when I'm beat. I am hereby
putting ATVS up for grabs. If there's anyone out there in fanfic land
who feels like continuing the fic, it's all yours, just let me know. My
sincerest apologies to anyone who was eagerly awaiting the next
installment. To be honest, I've lost my enthusiasm for the project, and
I don't feel capable of continuing the tale myself.
