I know this isn't really the right place to ask this, but since it
_does_ kind of touch on fanfics and
I really don't know where else to ask ...
Anyway, while dusting off some stuff I wrote a few years back (you know,
the silly SI kind you're
too embarrassed to let anyone ever see:) I was looking out the window at
a really nice crescent
moon.
Now my question: aren't the moon phases equivalent to the passing of a
lunar day, making
it something around 28 terran days long?
That would make for an interesting climate on a moon with an atmosphere,
probably the
day/nighttime would be equivalent to our sommer and winter, and I bet
the social adaptions
would be downright fascinating. (heh, now we know why Usagi always
oversleeps, that would
make for a _long_ noon nap)
Anyhow, it would make for some interesting background material ... IF I
don't end up in terminal
embarrassment from asking this, or with a ban ... so, knowing [Admin] is
lurking, private replies
