"Nocturnal's Allies"

"NOCTURNAL LIGHT SPLENDOR!"
The light was so intense, that Ion had to cover his eyes just to avoid
being blinded by it, however the technique was only a diversionary
tactic to give Danka the time for his own attack.
"LIGHTNING DETONATION CHAOS!" The lightning hit Ion, who was smashed
against the concrete, the force of the impact dragging his body several
feet before it came to rest.
Nocturnal ran to him, and before the demonic angel could get up,
whispered, "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't rip you apart..."
Ion looked at his opponent. There was blood all over him from small
wounds that would eventually heal. This wasn't the first time he had
bled, after all. "Kill me now, angelic thing," he said. "If you don't,
my suffering will be twice as hard and your punishment will be twice as
bad. Aramis will not rest until the Moon Goddess is under his command.
And mark my words, angel, he WILL get what he wants, one WAY or the
OTHER... ELECTRIC SHOCK!" As the last was spoken, sparks flashed
brilliantly and made Nocturnal back away. Ion got up, obviously aching
from his wounds. "I still have a little life left in me after all..."
"NOT FOR LONG! WORLD SHAKING!!"
Ion turned as the attack hit him and threw him several feet to crash
against a large stone statue that was there. The statue was broken in to
several pieces, all falling on to Ion's body.
Nocturnal and Danka turned to see that the senshi had arrived, followed
by Divatox and Alexhi, who where standing at the back of the pack.
"Hey!" said a cheerful Danka. "Good for nothin' slobs! Good t' see ya!"
Nocturnal's eyes where locked on the figure of Sailor Moon, who was
returning his gaze. Actually, all of the senshi were staring at him,
more surprised than anything else.
"Ryouga?" Rei asked in shock.
"That... That symbol... " Neptune gasped. "The symbol on his forehead!"
Just then, the rocks exploded as Ion broke free from them.
Divatox was the first to react, "ION!"
The senshi immediately turned to face him, expecting a new attack.
Ion's knee hit the ground, as his breath was coming shorter and shorter.
"I need... to come back... plea... please... I... I... I ne... need....
energy..." he was mumbling to himself. Inside his head, however, a voice
unheard by the others present was replying to those petitions.
"You will stay and destroy them all or else... I will have another head
in my collection. Does the name Ictal ring a bell?" the voice said
menacingly.
"No! Leave her at peace!"
"Destroy them now or forget about her. I expect you to obey, Ion,
nothing else..."
"Yes... Lord Aramis..." Ion got up. It was obvious he was lacking in
energy: his eyes turned to normal, sea green eyes. At that stage, even
his absorb powers where more harmful to him than beneficial.
"He's going to attack!" shouted Rei. "MARS FLAME SNIPER!!"
"JUPITER OAK EVOLUTION!"
Ion saw the attacks coming, but the light was there and didn't hit him.
There was a shout. There was blood. There was shock.
"DIVATOX!" shouted Moon.
"You're stupid, man!!" shouted Danka.
"Get out of the way!" shouted Venus.
Divatox fell to his knees. The wound wasn't that bad, but still had
taken some air out of him. "I'm alright. I will not allow ye to harm
this angel!"
"Divatox," Ion whispered, looking at him.
"Why?!" asked an upset Mercury "He is evil..."
"No! He is not evil, lass! He's just an angel, like the rest o' us!"
Divatox got up and turned to Ion. "He's just obeyin' orders, just like
any other angel would."
"Fool!" Ion said. "You are all such fools!" Ion sat on the ground,
looking at it as if there was something there he could find. "Kill me
now so that I can get to her in time."
"Maybe you can help him," Mercury said to Moon with her hand on her
shoulder.
Moon nodded. Her Moon scepter was set for the action. "I can help you. I
will purify your energy and that..."
"You don't get it!" Ion shouted "I don't NEED THAT! I AM NOT A DEMON!! I
am an angel... just like all of you..."
"He's right."
All turned to see Nocturnal. "He's an angel. He always was. His God is a
demon. That is why his powers are so destructive."
"He can choose not to be with his God." Uranus said harshly.
"An angel does not choose the God he follows," Ion replied. "The God
chooses you to be with him, and it's not your place to see if this
choice is right or wrong, you just do it the best you can so that you
can achieve your destiny. There is no other way to be with the one you
love. I am sorry, but I love Ictal, with all my heart and what's left of
my soul"
"Ah understand, lad" Divatox said.
"Thank you." Ion suddenly sprang to his feet. The Inner senshi were
about to attack him, but Ion was no longer there.
"BAKA!" shouted Uranus. "WE HAD HIM RIGHT THERE!"
"Aramis will take care of him. Now, let me introduce myself. I am
Nocturnal, the Supreme Angel of the Night and the Second Balance of the
Universe. We're sorry to interrupt your dimension like this, but it was
necessary for our survival, as well as your own, for us to do so."
"Why are you here?" Mercury asked. "What is all of this madness? Who is
Aramis? Why did we let Ion go?"
"Is there some place we can talk? I feel uncomfortable talking in the
middle of a chaotic street?"
"Let's go then!" Jupiter said with a wink "I'll fix us some dinner!"
Nocturnal crossed his index fingers and shouted, "Moon transport, now!"
and they where immediately transported to Makoto's house.

Ion stumbled down the stairs. Aramis was not in the castle, which was
good. He reached the dark dungeons, where he searched for cell #67. "My
love? Are you here?"
"Ion?" a soft voice replied.
Ion's eyes turned soft as tears started to flow from them. "My love, my
life, you are still alive..."
>From the cell's little window, a hand came out. It was all Ion could see
of her, for she was on the other side of the steel door.
"I miss you, my love," she said in a soft voice as her hand touched
Ion's face.
"Please, hold on a bit more, my life. I will get you out of here as soon
as I can."
"Aramis will destroy you if he finds you here, my love. Please, go."
"My love. I can't go on like this. I have to..."
"Ion, I'll be okay. Aramis can't destroy me, remember? I am STILL a
Goddess. My powers may be useless in here, but I can still survive. And
I will survive,just to see the light in your eyes. Now, I have something
for you... Here" Ion felt a touch of electricity on his hand. "I know
you need it more than I do. Remember your promise to me and come back
alive."
"I love you... No matter what happens... I will come back for you... I
will find you... and I will love you for all eternity." Ion kissed her
hand and left.
Ictal's hand vanished back into the dark cell she was imprisoned in,
waiting for Ion to completely leave so that he didn't hear her cry,
afraid that he wasn't coming back to her. She knew that Aramis was mad,
and Ion could quite possibly die as a result of that madness. How
powerless she felt! "Take care, my love..."

"Aramis is a demon, a very powerful demon," Nocturnal explained. "He is
a God; the God of Pain and Terror. His angel is Ion, who is not a demon,
but an angel trapped in terrible circumstances. Aramis is here for you,
Moon Goddess, Sailor Moon"
"Me?"
"You are the reincarnation of Ys, the Moon Goddess in our dimension. You
were supposed to be alerted of this, but Beryl destroyed your kingdom in
the Silver Millennium and everything got complicated... Now, Aramis
needs your power so that he can take over the Tizcat. For this he also
needs Universe's powers."
"Universe?" asked Minako.
"She is the Queen of a planet called Khoriean. This planet is the basis
of all creations, because this is the planet that is closer to the
Omega. Blue Universe of Khoriean is her complete name and she is
daughter of Queen Skydancer of Khoriean and the angel known as Kat-Wa.
Universe is the total pillar of her world: nothing is to be if she does
not say so. Her prayers are the thing that hold the planet together. She
is the only one who can control this power and there is no other pillar
in the entire planet. If Aramis has her power, he becomes the holder and
keeper of the keys to heaven and hell all together..."
"Blue Universe... sounds like she is a great woman," Michiru said, as
amused as the others were.
"The thing is that she has been kidnapped now. Aik, her husband, is the
pillar for now, but unless we find her, Khoriean will fall in to chaos,
the gates will open and everything will be destroyed. It will be the end
of chaos as we know it."
"Then it can't be that bad," Haruka interjected. "I mean, if this is
going to end the chaos..."
"She's right," added Luna. "If this is going to put an end to Chaos and
peace will prevail, then, it's not that bad..."
"Ye don't understand!" Divatox explained. "Chaos is life. Life is chaos
for it's a progressive destruction o' matter an' energy, that is chaos.
Peace means that chaos does not exist, therefor, life is over."
"And that is why we must stop it. Aramis now wants your princess. I
suggest we protect her and stand by when Aramis attacks once more. We
need to know where Universe is, so we can get to her and free her."
"Meanwhile, we keep an eye on this girl," Alexhi said pointing at Usagi.
"We make sure Aramis doesn't get his hands on her, yes?"
"Yes. If it's a demon we must fight to protect the princess, then we
shall!" Artemis exclaimed. All the others nodded.
Nocturnal kept his eyes on Usagi's face. It was her. It was STILL her.
"Serenity" he thought "It's you. I will protect you this time, you'll
see... I will..."
