A Ties of the Ghost backstory

His destiny was sealed. He would never know no happiness, no love.
They laughed, he knew. they'd all be laughing at him, forever.
He was bound by both, law and honor. Trapped.
Wasn't there any way out? Something, anything that could be done?
Perhaps, there...
Yes! That was it! his only hope!
He would gain what he sought, be released of his horrible destiny.
And woe to all that would stand on his way.

As the torrent of energy rose from Jusendo, beginning to claw the earth,
ripping, twisting all it touched, Akane saw nothing but Ranma, lying
next to the dead beast, victorius but nevertheless unconscious. In the
back of her mind she knew that if she didn't go through it, her father,
uncle Saotome, Shampoo, Ryoga, Herb, all of them... maybe even the
surrounding villages would be engulfed by the rising chaos. It didn't
matter. But losing Ranma...
Her path set, Akane ripped the blue seal from the flesh of the decomposing
beast, kneeled next to Ranma, removing the dagger from his belt. He was so
very handsome, even if his hair was already turning red.
Akane pressed the seal firmly on her chest, where she knew her heart was,
aiming the dagger...
