Hello!
This is an idea I had earlier today and I want to pick the brains of all the
BGC fans on the FFML.
I'm wavering between a sort of Batman Beyond setup, or Mackie going in by
himself with Raven's great grandaughter or something playing support.
C&C and other forms of input are all welcome. Flames, however, will be
shredded and used to line my cat's litterbox.

She was named Saber; a clone infused with the DNA of the Sabers and their
skills. Sylia's leadership and experience. Linna's martial arts skills,
Priss's warrior spirit, and Nene's computer skills. Nene and Sylia even made
her armor. Lighter and stronger then anything we had. After all, we would
never use it again.
She was the ultimate warrior to carry on the fight that age and injury now
forbid the Sabers to do.
It seemed like the only recourse. Genom was no longer a threat, but Magi,
Genom's central mainframe, was. Repeated brain drains, experiments and other
such attempts had driven it to Sentience.
Immediately, it sized control of most of the boomers and sent them against
Genom. Even though Genom eventually figured out how to prevent Magi's control
of Boomers, it cost them plenty.
We were overjoyed. We had, we thought, an ally in our crusade. But Magi saw
our armor as Genom technology and tried to destroy us.
Mega Tokyo nearly died as a three way war broke out finally concluding with
Magi and Genom destroying each other.
But Magi had planned thoroughly, creating the Elders. Seven boomers, each
given sentience and hidden among the population to carry on should Magi ever
fall.
In a way, we got lucky, and managed to kill two of the seven. But afterwards,
Doc could only conclude that for Sylia, Priss, Linna and Nene to ever put on
their suits again would be like suicide. Their injuries were that severe.
And so Saber was created. But something went wrong, or perhaps Raven's
repeated mutterings about the girls being insane weren't just mutterings, but
Saber went mad, siding with the Elders and eventually leading them.
Even thought they knew they would never come back, they donned their suits
and tried to stop her.
They succeeded, driving her underground and destroying her armor.
Nene was the only one to make it back to headquarters and she died in my arms.
Saber is still out there . . . building a new identity, and new armor. One
day she and the Elders will return.
But I am prepared. The suit is finished at last. The ultimate fusion of
robotics, energy and nanotech. A self contained war machine that can repair
itself and its wearer.
I can feel it in my bones, Saber will return before the end of the century,
only one of us will be there to see the beginning of the next one.
The year is twenty ninety-eight, the place is Mega-Tokyo, my name is Mackie
Stingray, and this, is my legacy.
