Here's some responses from fic's posted in the last week or so:

From: Lara Bartram <lara@emunix.emich.edu>

Comments: First: its a Lara Bartram Eva fic. This is not intent to
disrespect the coauthor of this fic, Sleet, but is a natural reaction to
looking at the header and seeing 'from Lara Bartram.'
Second: Dependant on your romanization scheme it could be 'Ryouji Kaji'
though I'm sure there are a million opinions on that one.
Third: formatting is good and the prose has just enough tounge in
cheekiness (god of English, please forgive me) to carry off the story.
Fourth: <"Gendo, if you just took my last squid-on-a-stick, I'll kill
you with my bare hands.">
Fifth: <"Well, okay, I was going to sit and watch her from across the
cafeteria. Close enough.">
Highly recommended.

Subject: [FFML] [Fanfic][TM] Princess and the Pirate. <Chapter 3>

Comments: Another solid installment of what is shaping up to be an
interesting series. I don't mind the lack of Tenchi in this part (or
series really) as he doesn't appear all that necessary to the primary
story. Formatting is good, prose is good if a little lacking in
descriptive punch. Dialouge is good, and the characters are all reacting
close to how I'd expect. Ayeka's reaction when she contacts Bonea is
dead on, though its a bit hard to see Ayeka doing such horrible things.
That scene was excellent, though. This part seemed a little slow; the
pyro in me would've liked watching Ryoko work.

Comments: A Nanami fic! This one impressed me a great deal and I'm
looking forward to the other connected one shots. I'm even more
interested in the post TV series story, as I've recently finished Utena
myself and I'm really interested in other's impressions of the end. This
fic was good, with the Nanami pov carried out flawlessly. the Journal
entry format is good, and I have to respect the extent that this get in
her head. The reuse of the repitition theme from the TV show works well,
and the characters are very well done. Highly recommended

Comments: I really like this series. It has everything I enjoy in
fanfiction: good characters, interesting takes on preexisting worlds,
comedy, exploding jumpships, LAM's, you name it. The characters are all
operating within their established selfs allowing for the fusion with
the Battletech elements, the prose is impressive, the technology
discussions and military behavior is all dead on. Another one of my
favorite series, ranking close to Children of an Elder God for ongoing
series.
For fans of Battletech and Ranma: highly recommended

Anyway, keep reading
