The young American was looking around, taking pictures, ignoring all the
warnings from the Jusenkyo guide. Cursed springs, he snorted, curses were
about as real as vampires or demons. So caught up in taking pictures of the
area he had the unfortunate luck to find out just how real the curses at
Jusenkyo really were.
He began spitting out water as he surfaced, suddenly realizing that he'd
fallen into one of the springs. "Ack! Great! My film is ruined!"
The guide sighed, "Sad story, very sad story of drowned god."
He snorted as he got out of the water. "Give me a break old man. Drowned god
indeed. The chance of a god drowning here is about as likely as me getting
hit by a lightning bolt and having a boulder fall on me and crush me."
Less than five seconds later he groaned as he shoved the rock aside and
tossed away his camera which had been melted by the lightning bolt. "Ok, so
a god drowned in that pool. What kind of god was it anyway?"
The Jusenkyo guide sighed, "Tragic story, truly tragic. God of Ill Luck
drown in that spring. It is said whoever drowns in that spring will have
eternally bad luck."
He got up, the sarcasm obvious on his face, "Yeah right. I think I'll ...
aaaaggghhh!"
What he was about to say was cut short as the rock that had just crushed him
knocked him off balance and sent him tumbling down the hill, splashing
through several more pools in the process.
A short time later the Jusenkyo guide looked down on him, "The curse of the
Jusenkyo springs is already having its effect on you. Shall I tell you of
the springs you drowned in on your way down?"
He sighed, wondering if anyone would feel terribly sorry were an earthquake
to level the Jusenkyo springs.
Sorry folks, I couldn't resist this. It was something that popped up in my
mind one evening. I've seen maybe two episodes of Ranma 1/2 and this scene
just somehow seemed fitting to what could happen in Ranma 1/2. A bit extreme
but still ...
If anyone wishes to make this a SERIOUS story(well, serious by ranma
standards) feel free to take it.
