Sorry bout the lateness, but I've been doing a lot of work. But I got
this part done and that's all that matters.
And problems with this chapter can be related to the fact that I was
very tired when I wrote this........
Please send C&C, I need it.
And now, enjoy.....

Chapter 33: The beginning of the Ending

Today was the day, the day when the rivers would run red. And the
skies would turn black with the smoke from the burned corpses. It was
the day where the living, would become dead and return to the soil from
which they came.
It was the day of truths, the day that marked the beginning of all
the great battles to come. This day would be forgotten by many, and
remembered by few. Even though it was one of the most decisive battles
during Ragnarok.
And so this is where the story begins, on the eve of
battle..........
Matthew stood tall, in front of his army. Rows and rows, columns and
columns of soldiers were behind him. Wielding all types of weapons. From
swords, to assault rifles, to bows, everything was being used. The
numbers were thirty-thousand, while the opponent numbered only six
thousand. Yet they bore a great weapon, one which could obliterate
everything.
Right behind Matthew, as four guards, were Fear, Despair, Corruption
and Spite. They were draped in red battle armor, and wielded long swords
in their right hands. They had a shield in their left's, ranging from
the colours of black to blue, and from the shape of circles to squares.
The enemy could be seen, even through this blizzard. Such weather
would make the battle hard, but the weather could tip the scales towards
the church, for they have lived, and fought in this weather before, and
were more well adapted to fighting in it.
Their enemies were angels, with white, dove-like wings sprouted from
their backs. They wielded swords and bows and spears, nothing more. they
were all dressed in heavy white armor with a white robe over it.
They were arranged in a scattered formation, for it was good
protection from magic and explosives. While the block formation the
church was set up in, proved well when fighting close range, because it
was easier to get support from each other.
They had been like this for ten minutes, both sides looking at each
other, waiting for the time to strike. It seemed each was on the
defensive, waiting for the other.
But after fifteen minutes, the Angels did charge towards the
church's forces, and the onslaught began.........
I looked out through the blizzard, and sighed. There was no sign of
the church. This was becoming hopeless.........
Guni looked at the spinning sphere which hovered not to far in front
of him. He was watching the battle taking place, between Heaven's forces
and the church. This battle could decide the fate of the whole war. If
God won, then it would tip the scales in Heaven's favor. But if God
lost, then the scales would tip in Guni's favor.
A man then entered his throne room, bowed, and gave Guni his
message. "The A.C.M's forces have now moved into the image perimeter,
you can now view them."
Guni decided to change his view, to have a look at the A.C.M's
forces. And within only a second, they appeared on the curved surface of
the sphere. The forces, numbered at least ten thousand, and walked in
prefect formation.
Guni stared at the image as it moved along through the blizzard,
approaching the battle. Then it hit him!
    "It's a fake! They're illusions!"
There was then a beeping, which resinated from the messengers belt.
Or more specifically, the cell phone attached to the man's phone. So he
quickly picked up the phone and listened for a few seconds, before
hanging up.
"Guni, you're not going to like this. The A.C.M's army has destroyed
our first perimeter defense, they're almost here!"
Anger flared up in Guni's eyes as he heard that. In his mind the
thoughts of killing Steven Fender ran wild. That bastard had betray him,
and Guni would see that man dead, if it was the last thing he would do.
"How the hell did they get that far without being detected? Wouldn't
the second, third or fourth perimeter have seen the army?"
"They were sent away with the attack force. It was thought that they
wouldn't be needed."
"Damn it! Move out the forces and tell them to attack the A.C.M's
army. And kill the man who brought back the fake images. And if he has a
family, have them killed as well. And all of his friends!"
    "Yes sir.".........
The battle between the forces of Heaven and the church ensued. It
was total pandemonium to say the least. Guns, arrows, fireballs and
energy blasts were flying across the battle field, killing people with
no trouble.
Swords clashed, hundreds upon hundreds of people fought in melee
combat, striking, parrying and dodging, like in medieval warfare.
Amongst all of this chaos and destruction, there was the hand of
God. The weapon tore through the church's ranks like a knife through
butter. God didn't care that it was hitting his own troops as well, he
enjoyed seeing anything die, it was one of his great pleasures in life.
Matthew was slicing through his opponents with great speed and fury,
nothing was stopping him from reaching his target, nothing would stop
him from reaching God and cutting of that bastards head and putting it
on a silver platter.
He fought and fought and fought his hardest to reach God. Killing
dozens upon dozens of Angels as he went. It took him twenty minutes, but
he made it. His eyes were looked on God, standing there grinning,
standing outside the great battle, watching it with his hawk-like eyes.
And so Matthew charged at his opponent, and they fought a great
battle..........
A battle was beginning fought in the deepest bowels of hell. In the
great heat, man fought demon in a battle as great as the one that was
taking place above.
Guni inhaled the sulfuric air, and coughed a little as he ran
towards the leader of the army, who stood behind the army, watching. It
was Steven Fender, and Guni swore he would rip the man apart piece by
piece and serve it on a platter to the dogs.
With a quick swing, Guni decapitated an A.C.M soldier, who after
losing his head, abruptly dropped to the ground.
He did similar actions well over a dozen times before he broke
through their back row. It wasn't as hard to do as he thought it would
have been. The battle was just so chaotic that one could move as freely
as a bird, or not move at all.
And once he had passed the last row of soldier, he came face to face
with Steven Fender. And so a battle ensued.........
