I always liked the nodoka is rich and financed much of the training
trip. The theft etc. was Genma imitating Happosei. After all that was
how HE learned Martial Arts.

Some of it, especially toward the end, may have been necessary, as he
couldn't afford to let Nodoka know where he was. After Jhusenkyo
especially and after some of his really stupid stunts that may have
been published in the papers. ( see "Source of Pride" by Gregg Sharp
for examples )

There is also more than a hint of Genma being an Alcoholic. So no
matter how much money he had it would vanish in his hands. One
translation of one of the later Animes ( subbed) suggested that Ranma
handled most of the earned money after he was about twelve or so. So
Ranma would be used to doing without much, if any, cash money and
correspondingly would value it very little. On the other hand, he
would expect to work for the cash he got, this would explain why he
never did much to stop Nabiki from exploiting him. If Nabiki was
making a difference in the way the household was run.

One thing I am curious to find out is who Ranma is going to be
training under, as he stated this is the person who first trained him
to use his KI.

One thing, I agree that if this is to be a straight continuation fic,
then Ryoga is OOC unless Xile does something to show a difference in
his attitude. Ryoga in the translations, I have seen has pretty much
stopped blaming Ranma for everything and has accepted that he loves
and is loved by Akane. I always felt Takahashi skipped over a story
there.

One of the airlines is running an ad, stating that if you save your
free travel miles you can travel to all eight continents. I guess
EdgarCayce was right and Atlantis has returned.

If violence is not solving your
problems you're just not using enough of it.

"I guess I'm just an old-fashioned sentimentalist at heart. I refuse
to accept a no-win scenario. I hate the thought of a universe
without
justice. If the maneuverings of dark powers can't be exposed and
defeated by the pure of heart, then there's no point in anything. I
 can't believe that."
