Well, imagine if you were a perfectly normal Japanese high school senior
when you get handed an immense, quarter-million year-old magical tome
titled 'Sidestep (with full annotations)' and a back-talking ferret with
a human attitude. Then you get attacked virtually every day, trying you
very best and feeling you fail every time, to defend the public against
a sudden surge of demons that may remotely be the fault of the person
who wrote your guide to How to Deal With Really Evil Things.
