Given that within the first 3 episodes of EVANGELION, When Shinji's EVA was
battle damaged, you see it regenerate an eye and look at him, it is
patently obvious that the EVA units are bio-tech with armored suiting.

Also, the scale mentioned for an EVA is wrong.  at 300 meters, an EVA would
be 1000 feet tall.  They're on the closer order of 200 feet tall,
considering that its hand is large enough to cover Shinji with its palm.

Also, bear in mind that it is possible for a full grown adult person to
drown in a casserole dish.
