that. I don't mind SI fics, as long as they are well-written and have some
thought put into the plot and how to make the character *fit* into the
anime realm of choice. As discussed many a time before, often the
self-inserted character tends to be a hero simply because he or she brings
a different perspective to the world they have chosen to drop into. But I'd
like to see an SI where the author maybe takes a more passive role. Being
thrust into a different world, especially with the enhanced rules of
physics that usually governs anime worlds, should be a challenge to an
"off-worlder", not an advantage. How would you cope? How would you survive
with no friends and family to help out? Nothing familiar, little to remind
you of home. Likely a language barrier. Which *side* would you choose given
these circumstances? Sounds gloomy, but perhaps the struggle to come to
terms with an anime world would make an interesting story. Hmm...
